All I need to get my Titan to level 30 is plasteel plating. What is the best way to get it? Should I grind roc strikes for engrams or is there a better way?

Tip- when you obtain green or blue armor from patrols, strikes or whatever the case may be, complete bounties, equip the green and blue armor, turn in completed bounties (with armor equipped) so that you unlock the upgrades, but DONT actually spend the materials and upgrade them. Break them down... You'll get 3-4 plasteel per upgraded armor. Sometimes even 5.... I was in the same boat until I learned this trick... A green armor will fully upgrade with a 2500 bounty... Also I think if you do this to exotic or legendary, you get more shards... Takes much longer

Modificato da Rylor Threev: 4/20/2015 10:25:45 PMRoc strikes can give you more than plasteel plating, exotics maybe...
-
Roc takes longer than doing chest runs. You typically only get greens but you can get 3 or more from some chests, legendary engrams, ascendant materials, plus the materials (spinmetal, helium filaments, spirit bloom, relic iron) that you also need to do your upgrades.

3 RisposteIf you have the glimmer, buy whites from vendors. Cheap. Or ROC strikes.
-
Buy gear in the tower and dismantle it... Super easy
-
roc strikes. jus take the armour ur wearing.everytime you get a break dismantle anything you dont need. skip blues and pinks as they go to postmaster anyway.
-
Stop, stop stop..... First question: Do you have the expansion? Second Question: What gear are you levelling? DO NOT UPGRADE VENDOR/VOG GEAR ONCE PAST 27! Unless you're particularly attached to a piece of armour all you are doing is wasting time, glimmer and resources. Non-CE (and non-Iron Banner) gear will only get you to 31. At 27 get into a CE raid. (If you're on PS4 I will happily run a group with you in it). Once you get CE gear, only level that. Completely ignore upgrading non-CE armour (with the exception of your Exotic armour piece/s) as it's a waste of time.

ROC strikes, and make sure that you pick up every engram that you can, easiest way that I know of.
-
Roc strikes and daily heroic. In a real pinch buy greens/blue from the Vanguard titan guy, level them up (don't spend anyhing on the upgrades, just level them so all bubbles are green circled), then dismantle them. Kind of a pain, but very detrministic. And you can level them while you do exclusion zone to get glimmer to buy more armor... If they're fully xp'd you get 1-2 bonus plasteel from them. Makes it a little more glimmer efficient.
-
I have so much I just dismantle it
-
I got 1500 to 2000 of that crap wish you could exchange it for other gear materials
-
I have over 2500 units of that, let's trade... never mind
-
Farm glimmer, go to vanguard buy armor dismantle rinse and repeat
-
Simply grind ROC strikes. If your titan isn't your main and you prefer playing with another character then you can always save the engrams and have tour titan decode them later. Hope this helps.
-
ROC strikes. Just do a few and decode all the engrams and you'll probably have enough. My titan is my main so I have like 500+ lol
-
Same situation on my warlock
-
Same problem I have with my warlock and titan. Piles and piles of sapphire wire on my hunter lol.
-
I know the feels. 2000 Plating on my titan. My new hunter and warlock have no sapphire wire and hadronic essence. Yeah, I find ROC farming to be best.
-
ROC strikes, the upgrade struggle is real for alt charectors
-
Grind an ass ton of roc strikes and that will get you plenty
-
Give your engrams earned through other characters to your titan as well. That way they turn into titan fear.
-
Yes, you should. Or do patrols. Doesn't really matter - just kill a lot of stuff and you get the drops. Roc also gives you a reward though, so.....
-
If you're not short of glimmer, buy green armour engrams for Rahool and break 'em down. You get a little cryptarch rep along with your materials.
-
Make another character and do the story with it and it will generate more plasteel
-
I have the same situation... I cant get them!!!

4 RisposteModificato da Bye Felicia: 4/19/2015 6:52:28 PMExclusion zone then buy the 250 glimmer helmet from the vanguard. You get 100 mats per hour vs the ~25 mats per hour from roc. Edit: you'll probably end up with 100+ considering engrams will drop from glimmer farming
