Dude, i am as big of a fan of the raids as they come (however, I'm not a fan of weak ass mechanics, a side of cheese with every section, and the bugs and glitches), and i was absolutely bummed to hear there won't be a raid with the HoW.[i]But on the other hand, [/i] we just don't know enough about the content to accurately judge whether it was truly a loss or not.
From what i read, Bungie is very humbled by the problems they've had with their raids and are aware of the community's feelings about them. I would much rather see them push the originally planned raid back a few months in order to make sure that when it drops, it will be epic. I'm a long time fan of Bungie's games and i know that the next raid won't be a disappointment. It seems like they are really listening to us and trying to deliver a great raid as opposed to giving us another terrible one, like CE.

im just worried that PvE only players(like my self) will have problems achieving rank 34 is prison of elders just gonna spew rewards after each round? or trials of osiris the only way to go im gonna be disappointed if im forced to play pvp with wallbreachers and lag switches for a motnh to get my shit

It seems that the Arena is Pve and end game content so I'm sure we can get gear there to reach the level cap. It also looks like we'll be able to upgrade at least some of our legendary weapons based on the post and the picture they put up so I'm really hoping we will be able to do the same with legendary gear. It would be amazing if we could upgrade our old raid gear to get to the level cap

The post did say "upgrade path for your existing Exotic and [b]Legendary gear"[/b] so we will hopefully be able to upgrade VoG and CE gear to the new level cap. I'd like to see more max level options for gear and if we're lucky this will be it.

I love this game and have WAY WAY more hours in it than any game I've ever played. And that's saying something coming from a 54 year old original pong player. I WILL quit the game if you have to do pvp to reach max light.

this is 100% legit i was in a game where i was 1 shot through walls,shotguns had INFINITE RANGE, a guy walked through walls, if i almost killed someone i was frozen in place and kept getting insta killed, and at the end rewards were a gjallarhorn for everyone on the enemy team that was hacking. If i to play with this bullshit to get 34 im gonna quit destiny straight up

At least you see sense. Its highly likely that there's no new raid because WE complained so much about the last one! We complained about cheese, we complained about it being to easy, we complained about it not being as immersive and complex as VoG, we complained about bugs and glitches. And now Bungie show they actually listen to our complaints and decide not to release the new raid yet so they can make sure its perfect for US, what do we do? That's right, COMPLAIN! Personally I'm looking forward to HoW. The Arena seems interesting, and Trials of Osiris will finally be here, and both will have loot for us to get. Its something different as opposed to the same old thing (something else WE complained about) and I'm sure the new raid will be epic when we do get hold of it. And being able to upgrade weapons like Fatebringer (which WE complained that we couldn't do before) proves even more that Bungie listen and goes along way to making up for the lack of a new raid and other mistakes they've made, its kind of like a subtle apology I think because I doubt they originally planned to upgrade any Legendary weapons.

Exactly. I'm not saying that the complaints were unfounded, because the raids, crotas end in particular, were severely lacking in areas. I have no problem with Bungie taking a few months to create the raid that we have all wanted. They have definitely been listening to us. It is pretty easy to see that from a lot of the changes that are being made in the near future. So it makes sense to me that they are listening to us as well when it comes to the raids and want to deliver a problem that they can be proud of

Agree 100%. The complaints about previous raids were legitimate and warranted. And like you I have no problem waiting a bit longer for a better raid than have them rush it out the door with the same problems. There's just too many people who just like to complain for any reason possible.

Oh yeah, and the funny thing is, they really have no idea what they are complaining about. Maybe the arena and the trials Osiris will end up giving us more to do then a rushed raid Everwood. maybe there are way more story missions then we had anticipated. maybe more crucible maps. who knows? It has all been speculation up until today

Exactly. Everyone is jumping off the deep end when they know hardly anything about what we are getting. They're too busy focusing on what we aren't getting. Arena could turn out to be epic! With great loot a to go with it. It could mean no more being able to be carried, and actually haveing to put effort in to get rewards. That could be why Trials of Osiris is coming out with its own gear. The Arena could turn out to be very hard to get loot in (if loot is dropped after set numbers of waves etc.) So there's the ToO option to get max light level as well.
