Taken from weekly update:
"Further improve the balance of encounters by limiting high-damage weapons"
This statement perhaps refers to primary weapons. So what primary weapons are high damage(high dps) weapons?
Most primaries have a TTK(time to kill) of around .8-1.1 seconds. Several weapons are far out of this range. Other primaries simply cannot compete. With a more Primary focused crucible, changes to these weapons are likely. These weapons are:
*Thorn - .36 seconds of engagement/~.9 seconds to kill
*TLW - .56 seconds to kill
*Hawkmoon - .4 to .7 seconds to kill
*Red Death - .67 seconds
Whether you disagree with nerfs or not, let me know what you think.
If you disagree with my prediction, let me know what you think will be nerfed.
Edit 1: For the most part, there has been a healthy discussion in the comments section. The crucible designers don't want a clear choice of what to use in PVP. With this next update, a more primary focused crucible will equate to a more exotic primary saturated crucible. Ice breaker and invective will be viable; however, that's it. Among the exotic primaries, if you're not using an exotic handcannon or a pulse rifle, such as red death, you're at a disadvantage. If handcannons aren't patched in 1.1.2, I believe it's inevitable that it will eventually happen.
Edit 2: Expect Auto rifles to be buffed back to pre 1.1.1 values.
Edit 3: I want to make it clear that I am also making this prediction from the amount of Crucible experience I have, coupled with developer trends. In the event that Exotic handcannons are not nerfed, expect these weapons to saturate the crucible and lessen weapon diversity.

invective/icebreaker will give you plenty special if you want it badly, invective may as well always be equipped if you like to run a shotty, dont play a lot of crucible just hope they make it better for those who do.

13 RisposteThorn kills in a third of a second?
-
2 Risposte...... Where are you getting those numbers?
-
I would think it's more referring to special and heavy
-
Please don't be Hawkmoon it is perfect the way it is.

I can see where you are coming from but to be honest this probably not going to happen. Not everything can be equal, that's why communism has never truly succeeded. I can tell you how many people would use thorn if it wasn't a 2 shot headshot: 0; there would be no reason. If the last word was reduced to the damage of an auto rifle: 0; there would be no reason. If red death wasn't a 2 burst kill: 0; there would be no reason. TL;DR: Don't be a communist and just accept the op weapons.

2 RisposteCrucible is inherently unbalanced. Attempts to balance it are futile.
-
1 RispondiOne way to fix TLW is to remove zooming in on it. Make it all hipfire. Its a weapon based on hipfiring so why can it zoom in? Imho, I believe that making TLW only hipfire will even it out more because hipfiring 2 headshots in a row is harder than spamming and zooming in on TLW. Now there is obvious disadvantages to that and that is what you want in a balanced gun. And probably this will make it balanced.

Yet again the crying squeakers get their way

The hawk could be a .00000001 if u get lucky
-
Ahhh why am I not surprised
-
As long as they dont hurt lmg's or scout rifles im fine
-
7 RisposteThey wanted an excuse to nerf Red Death so they created the auto rifle nerf and pulse rifle buff. The whinging community wants an excuse to nerf Hand Cannons in general. Now look what's happened. I only just got Thorn and now I'll never be able to see why it's so good.

4 RisposteModificato da Backyard Pablo: 4/12/2015 6:59:15 AMMaybe they should fix their unbearable maps before nerfing or buffing weapons. You can't have a game mode of domination(control) when 70% of the time teams that spawn by one certain objective get the win
-
How about we leave everything alone and play the game. Don't like it? Leave. It's that simple.

Never gonna give you up Never gonna let you down Never gonna run around and desert you Never gonna make you cry Never gonna say goodbye Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

1 RispondiI SWEAR TO GOD THEY BETTER NOT NERF MY THORN IN PVE. In PvP go ahead bungie kill it off.
-
1 RispondiModificato da Roada Rolla: 4/12/2015 6:52:55 AMBungie needs to learn that this games PvP is -blam!-ing garbage. It will NEVER be balanced as long as supers, sticky grenades, OP melee, exotics, weapons with perks, and their garbage map design exists. They need to turn the crucible into halo. Everyone has the same loadouts to chose from, they get set in stone class setups to chose from, and weapons sets. No exotics, no legendaries, no perks. Just base white weapons. This game will never, ever, be balanced. Now, if you disagree with this, THEN SHUT UP AND QUIT CRYING FOR NERFS. If you want to use exotics and legendaries and then cry about being killed by them you're a hypocrite. Suck it up and deal with it.

39 RisposteLast word needs a nerf on crucible
-
Eh I'll use it while I can and set it next to my Suros in the vault
-
The last word can 2 shot someone. If u hip fire the last word does 101 damage to the head because of the increase in precision damage when fired from the hip. A fully armored guardian has 204 hp. If u don't have full armor, u will die. The last word has a different way of controlling recoil. It drifts straight up as apposed to another hand cannon that shoots in bursts where the gun quickly aims up and goes back to approximately the original point. Your information does not include any other factors like recoil, accuracy and enemy movement.

2 RisposteNLB has a ttk of .01 seconds. IT ONESHOTS! Nerf it :P
-
I just spent like all day getting thorn...😪
-
Nerf will hit pulse rifles before hand cannons. Least ways that's what I think.
