I get that you want to finish it quickly. But seriously, quit rushing past all the enemies.
The last time I checked, you don't get xp, by rushing past a enemy. You don't get engram drops, when you run past a group of enemies. You don't level up a weapon, by whooshing it by someone. It's there to shoot things.
It's called a first person shooter, not a first person runner.
If you no longer need xp, engrams, or weapon xp.
Then I ask you why are playing.
Maybe destiny needs a new playlist, the " I don't feel like shooting anything list "DFLS" for short (don't feel like shooting)
my rant for the day, have a great one
*****for those of like mind, and wish to join up with people, who don't rush things******

I just dont like to waste my time so I go to the darkness zones and kill shit. Im clearing the area for you while youre back behind cleaning up weaker enemies. You also are shooting stuff so why does it matter if I run ahead and start shooting stuff? Do you need me to hold your hand through everything? While you spend thirty minutes running a strike ill have that strike and two more just like it done and while youre picking up a couple green engrams and two or three blues ill have three times that and some purples also.
-
I'm with you there, but have to say I mainly get fire teams were people play it properly. Even wait for teammates... That's how I like to play, skip some areas but mainly do play the game... If someone likes to go ahead, just let them. Take the time you need!!
-
Let's see. Take 20 minutes to kill every little mob in the strike you've run 500 times already for a chance to get a couple of green and maybe 1 extra blue engram. Or run through the strike you've already done 500 times in 5-10 minutes to get the guaranteed 2 blue engrams and possibly more? Hmmm. Tough call there.
-
how is XP relevant? unless you are below level 20.....If you are trying to level gear killing enemies grants so little xp it is negligible. To level gear and guns the quickest way is to turn in bounties. Like many others, I work and have a family and I am not going to hunt out every damn redundant enemy and kill it. Total waste of time, you get more xp completing the strike, nightfall of weekly than you do trying to grind out enemies.
-
I try for quick runs of Roc strikes to quickly get the marks and for the drops at the end of the strike. I don't think you're wrong for wanting to take your time. The kills are great for leveling up weapons and armor even if you don't need the XP for your character and you're more likely to get more Engrams which means more materials and/or Cryptarch rep. bottom To each their own.
-
Ya because you get sooooooooo much xp from doing strikes. I've had maybe 2 weapons lvl up from doing a strike all the way through. people are trying to get the bounties completed. some people don't have all day to sit through strikes and are trying to just to do what they need to for whatever reason. you just sound like a bitch complaining
-
4 RisposteEveryone needs to play how OP plays cause OP is special okay thanks
-
Actually you do get bonus xp for finishing the strike as well as engram drops. The quicker you complete strikes, the quicker you get your rewards. So why would you want to kill enemies when you can go do that in patrol?
-
More shit for me I say.
-
1 RispondiI think there are more annoying things in strikes than skipping all the enemies you can what about the douche bags who kill you with their sparrow because you haven't responded in 5 seconds or the scrubs who just stand there all strike
-
2 RisposteMaybe start a rolling thread in recruitment. Many will join in Easy to grab 2 to do few hours of roc
-
3 RisposteHey if your like me and work 14 hours a day, six days a week, I get to play about 2-3 hours a week. So when I sit down to play I'm speed running everything I can cram in. Sorry, some of us still like the game but have limited time.
-
We do it to make people like you cry.
you always cry
-
For me, I play because it's fun. When my crew and I do a strike, we're almost always doing it because of a bounty. Or because it's nightfall/weekly heroic. If you're max light level, and you're ranking up exotics, enemies provide negligible xp gain compared to what bounties will provide. If you've got all maxed out weapons and armor, the only thing killing enemies does is possibly give you glimmer, and there's plenty of spots in mission that make you clear a path through bad guys to make skipping unnecessary combat a logical choice. As I also do strikes in pursuit of bounties that give me faction rep, I want to get them done quickly. Killing enemies doesn't do anything to boost my FWC rank. However, this is just me and my crew/clan. Destiny is a game with many ways to play.

5 RisposteModificato da XxBTA PSYCHOxX: 4/10/2015 3:50:05 PMIf you want to run around and kill everything. Play patrol. I'll speed run if I feel like it. Best thing about it is I can checkpoint you eventually. So you can't even hold me up. And if you leave I'll just solo it. And if you manage to keep up and you die at the boss. Have fun watching me wreck face. You won't be revived. I may even just retreat to a safe room and go walk the dog or something. Maybe I'll get the boss inches from death and just leave so you wipe. Point is that the speed runners have all the power and hold all the cards. You play the way I determine.
-
2 RisposteWhy do you want green engrams? What matters are the vanguard marks and reputation after finishing the strike.. Kids these days.. Dumb as a rock.
-
1 RispondiModificato da Squeeze A Snack: 4/10/2015 2:27:50 PMYou are a guardian, It's your job to kill the enemy. The one you don't kill may be the one that -blam!-s your mother, kill them all guardian!!!!
-
2 RisposteI'm guilty of rushing past things. Sorry amigo. Speedrunning strikes is so damn fun though. Me and my friend are constantly trying to improve our times. Also, every strike has sections where you have to kill enemies to progress, so it's not like your missing out on Every chance to get an engram. But when it takes me less than 10 minutes, no matter what strike we do, those odds are way better when rolling for legendary engrams. Also, if you happen to get matched up with me at least, run roc strikes for an hour and you'll have at least 15 or 20 engrams to decrypt once were finished.
-
Sorry that you struggle with those lvl 10 enemies. You play your way and ill play mine.
-
Certain parts I don't like people rushing. Like the first section in valus with the leveled enemies? I hate when people rush that because I always wind up left behind and having to kill everything.
-
I like running gotta keep him in shape even though I have never seen him sleep
-
I'm willing to bet you're the minority here.
-
Agreed, I get that running past enemies might be faster, but if you die doing it, jokes kinda on you, so why bother?
-
-
Yeah its annoying. Then they sit and wait for you like you're holding them up. I like engrams so I kill everything!
-
6 RisposteI'm really sick of it, too. Every Vanguard Roc strike I wind up in, people just rush through everything. What really pisses me off is when one guy rushes ahead into a Darkness Zone and gets killed, causing the entire team to wipe. Idiots.
