A simple and fair solution to Thorn
Simple, alter its exotic DOT perk.
The DOT perk will become akin to Luck in the Chamber with DOT on top of it. I propose that TWO lucky rounds have the poison effect applied to them while the rest well be normal projectiles.
If this is applied, it will be a soft nerf to the poison effect abuse in the crucible and the weapon will also still be viable in PVE due to people spending more rounds into high health bosses/enemies ensuring the poison lucky rounds will proc.

Maybe only 3 of the 9 bullets won't have DOT. That could work

I will explain why this is stupid. Hawkmoon has similar perks, but the damage bonus is instant. Thorns perk is extra damage always, but it takes time to do. If thorn becomes like Hawkmoon, this makes Hawkmoon better as it's extra damage is instant.

2 RisposteNo way. Leave the Thorn alone. It was a hard bounty and once you complete it, you too will be able to use the said op gun. I guarantee you that most people whining about the Thorn have had at least one opportunity to get it, which it was their choice to decline.

Modificato da Tibbaryllis2: 4/10/2015 3:34:15 PMIt's simple. Devourer does full damage against minions of darkness, but 1/2 damage against guardians. Problem solved. It's still a 3 shot kill, but not a 2 shot walk off.

Modificato da FIRE WRAITH 01: 4/10/2015 3:20:21 PMHow about a criticism instead? The other exotic handcannons kill much faster than HOPING that the DOT overcomes a low armor stat. Personally I end up just shooting three times anyway which is of course a kill regardless of a DOT.

You know here is my plan for the nerf. When you start to cry cause you get killed by thorn. Then man up open a can of whop ass and go kill him. [spoiler]I dont play pvp at all just tired of everybody saying we need to nerf thorn .[/spoiler]

Even better, change nothing, but DoT wears off after the Thorn user dies, so no postmortem.

6 RisposteI think it's safe to say that the vast majority of the gaming world are absolutely sick of PvP whiners getting everything nerfed and ruining PvE. The worst part is that PvP whiners think they are good at the game .... but they whine about EVERYTHING while only playing a small portion of the game the rest of the population don't care about. For the record i'm talking about PvP whiners not PvP players, there is a difference. I'm just talking about those that whine about everything every time they die. How they moan about everything that kills them being OP because it can't possibly be them that aren't as good as they think they are. The sad part is it's the whiners that are probably the worst players. They whine because they keep dying to those that are simply better than them. If you are here whining because the Thorn is OP and you are constantly dying to it .... it's not the gun that's OP .... it's you that are absolutely terrible and should probably take up a new hobby .... like knitting.

Nope. If you haven't found one of the many ways to counter this gun you should put your controller down and play something else. Bungie made a bunch of games right up your alley. Fair balanced and no weapon really considered OP. Microsoft put them in one package. It's called the Master Chief Collection.
