I don't do trolling. We completed a Crota run on normal last night and I didn't get any Exotic drops. We went to Orbit and one of the party thought they had a Hard checkpoint, so took us down with both their other characters and discovered they didn't have it any more. I went back to the Tower, cashed in some bounties and signed off for the night. I signed in tonight, selected my Hunter and that drop happened as you see it in the video at 21:39 . I was making a drink at the time and looked up when I heard the drop noise and stared at the screen in disbelief before hitting the Share button. Weird.

One of 2 things happened: 1). You cleared Crota and immediately logged out of that character without going into orbit. Exotic drops from Crota don't show up in your inventory until you orbit. Next time you log into the game, it will be there if you acquired one and never orbited. 2). You're trolling and transferred it over from the mobile vault right as you logged in.

It's when you do crota or any activities that drop exotics an you switch characters or get off before the weapon actually drops
