Class Armor That is More Than Just Cosmetic
I'd like to see class armor that is more than just cosmetic. Perhaps certain legendary class armor could be introduced that has a specific purpose to it. These items could be purchased from the Vendors or be reward drops and have abilities like:
While equipped, receive 10% more glimmer from fallen enemies
Super lasts longer when this class item is worn.
Hunter's cloak that grants 5% more time of invisibility.
Titan towel that enabled dawn of ward to last 10% longer.
Higher chance of engrams and/or rewards being for this vendor when the vendor's class item is worn
Wearing this class item provides an increase in primary weapon stability
Receive 25 more points to Intellect when equipped
Etc.
Etc.
Each Vendor could have 1 or 2 'special' class armor items for each class. These would have established perks. Special class armor items received as rewards or drops would have a random perk.

Then people would choose class items based on perks not looks

2 RisposteWhy cant XUR at least upgrade VOG armor? Its a hell of a lot harder raid than Crota, but the armor is now obsolete. Will the same thing happen when House of Wolves comes to the Crota armor? Along the same topic, it would be cool to get certain perks or abilities if u mix ur Raid gear.

Like the way the warlocks bond changes color, it would be nice if the perk changed with the color. Titan and Hunter can have a similar thing. Maybe a part of it changes color. They don't, do they? I don't know, I only have warlocks.

Not a bad idea, but I don't think it will happen as those sort of changes in bonuses would most certainly throw off the already questionable balance in the game. Great idea though. Maybe in Destiny 3.

1 RispondiOh hey look at that i just ranked up my Vanguard faction rank again and i got my 3rd Atlas' Burden legendary titan mark! I was SOOOO happy to see my effort being rewarded with a triplicate copy of a totally useless PRE DLC cosmetic item. Seriously, SO HAPPY. In case my sarcastic rage wasnt obvious im actually really pissed off, this is the third damn time ive ranked up my Vanguard faction and got the exact same item which is in itself a pre dlc item that you cant get anymore since they overwrote the vendors, which wouldnt be a problem if it had been a gun or something but noooooo its a damn towel to wipe hive blood on when my fists get dirty. Thanks Bungie.

Give the Speaker's class items a purpose. Add 4 selectable "upgrade nodes," one for each faction (Vanguard/DO/NM/FWC). Depending on the node selected, rep goes there.

Love the idea...a little bit of intellect / discipline / strength (but not split combos) and a single perk. I have a relatively large collection of these and it would give me reason to switch them around more. I disagree with the player that believes this will make everyone look similar...of anything i think we'll see even more diversity.

3 RisposteBad idea. Class items are the only way to make yourself look different from others in this game. The moment you add stats to them everyone will be 100%. I like the look of my starter cloak. I dont want to be forced to use another.

Bump Agree class items should tweak our specs. Borderlands did maje it fun with their class items.

3 RisposteBump. Also, I wish there were some high level, good looking class items for the Factions. I really want to keep earning reputation for New Monarchy on my warlock but both of their armbands don't look nearly as cool as some of the ones from the speaker or loot drops. Same goes for my Dead Orbit hunter.
