Why I don't particularly want gjallarhorn
Ok...
So its come apparent to me that gjallarhorn is widely sought after and classed as the best weapon in the game, and that make people, and I swear to god this pulls my balls whenever I hear this
"Must av levul 32 in gaym wiv Max gallyhorn"
This is the type of thing that drives me insane... A gjallaorn doesent make you an instant pro, obviously if you get one, good! You have a good weapon but here are the reasons I don't want to have it in my arsenal:

People become so reliant on it, I've seen people in crucible not using a legendary special or normal, just for that one chance they MIGHT get to use a gjallarhorn

People will, and I qoute, get [b]gjallarhorny[/b]... Meaning if I have this weapon most people think " oh this guy has the gjallarhorn, he must be invincible! NO! he's not, yes it's a good gun, but without the wielder being any good, its like a floater in the middle of the sea,.,

People hat on people with this weapom, I've heard hate rants and have had my fair share of hat mail just for a hawkmoon, [b]I can't imagine a mail I'd get from having a god dmn gjallarhorn[/b]
[b]and lastly[/b]
There is too much hype around this weapon, if I got it, I'd most likely level it up to Max, then use it for EVERYTHING, not too much a bad thing but it would make my other exotics see less playtime, especially in raids...
So what are your thoughts and opinions on this guys?

2 RisposteDon't get me wrong Id be pumped to have it but if I did I'd doubt I'd ever use any other heavy haha and there are tons of fun heavies that deserve attention also. In the end if I get it whatever, if not its not the end of the world

The wolf pack rounds are what make it so devastating. It's like shooting two rockets in one because they concentrate in one area.

1 RispondiYou don't NEED gjallarhorn for Crota. It just makes Crota EASIER. I don't even have a gjallarhorn... However, I can solo Crota on normal with a maxed thunderlord as a 32 hunter. Personally I want black hammer and hunger of Crota. I don't even care about gjallarhorn anymore. It's a good weapon but I'm not gonna sit here and suck on it's grip like the rest of you. Oh no.

I have four. One is upgraded fully, but other than that, they never get used...ever. I have three literally sitting in the dustbin at 0%. Totally ridiculous mythology surrounding this gun. Specifically tailored to raids; otherwise nearly useless. You are better off with IB and raid machine gun. Otherwise, HoC and IB or HoC, BH, and gold primary. Just my take...what evs...

I have it and I use it, but I think HoC is just as good at anything, plus you get to equip another exotic which could come in very handy...

2 RisposteI have two but the only time I ever use it is for Crota, once a week. I don't think it's really that great and I'd rather use an exotic primary or special weapon. Still nice to look at though.

I know it plays a valuable role, but it gets pretty annoying to see people get so worked up about it. It's situational, and anyone who acts like it's the only reason to play Destiny are ridiculous

But you have judged it before you have gotten one and tried it for yourself. To most of the community you seem to of fallen into one of these two categories. The haves and the have not Most of the "haves" forum post are elitist douche nozzles Most of the "have not" forum post are RNG butthurts. Both get pretty annoying for they clutter up the forums. But I tried to see what insight you have brought and you are only telling people how you perceive your own fun in this game. One day RNG will drop you Gjallahorn and if you want you may feel free to turn it into an Exotic shard. Hey play in whatever way you think is fun. But I have a feeling that you will level it up, use it and we will never hear from you again. For every other person who has and doesn't have Gjallahorn yet don't care that much and just play and have fun. Edit: And you are wrong most people who are in Crucible stick to exotic primaries and rarely dip into special or heavy because most primary legendarys can't compete against weapons like Thorn, The Last Word, Hawkmoon, Vex. Or be as convenient as Red Death or Mida

Okay so for someone that is a sword bearer I want a team of gallys firing at Crota. Okay yes it's an amazing weapon but it does what is needed. It doesn't take much skill for when I say fire rockets for everyone to fire. It's just beneficial for them to be gallys. It makes killing bosses quick and easy and quite frankly skill less. Having gally won't prove ones skills but it will make my job easier when I need to take out Crota or atheon as that matter. The reason why we search for people that are 31 or 32 with Max gally is that it makes our life easier. I can jump to Crota with more aggression because I know if there are 5 people during a gally he will go down and I can do my job. People that use gally all the time are people who think just Cuz it's the best launcher out there that it will make them good but what it does is make others jobs easier

Doing ANY level without the Horn makes you a better more skilled player .

Its the only weapon where that can noticeably change the way a player will play the game. Do some players become overly reliant of the Gjallarhorn?

The reason people Ask for you to have max gally is because it's 2 shot crota.

I have it and maxed it out but it sits in my vault every day of the week except for Tuesday's which are my raid days
