The Saddest Death in Gaming History
What is the saddest death in gaming history? For me it's Shepard in mass effect 3, but what is it in your opinion? (There are no optional deaths on this list.)
These are all games that I have played, (except for FFVII) and I thought were sad, so Lee (The Walking Dead) is not on here because I haven't played it, and I've seen it, didn't look sad

That game is so good at getting you to build a relationship with the characters, especially Lee and Clementine, by playing the game. If you just watch it without playing the whole thing, of course it won't have the same impact.

Definitely Aeris. On a side note, why do some people call her Aerith? Her name in the game is Aeris. I never understood why the discrepancy. Is her name Aerith in the Japanese version and Aeris in the American version?

He suddenly went missing, after I fell down a waterfall, and I spent at least an hour searching for him, only to find that as he made his way down the waterfall he was attacked by some Falmer, and murdered. I'm on xbone, but Riley from the last of us dlc hit me hard. Like I was waiting for them to get together the entire time, thinking they wouldn't, but turns out they do and she dies soon after, plus Ellie can't join her.
