Can a 31 Survive HM Crota?
Here's my predicament:
I want to get to 32 as fast as I can. I've got the gear I need, but it seems that every Crota run I complete, I only get enough shards to level one defensive upgrade for one piece of gear. So, I think I'm debating on trying to get into a Hard Mode group (which will probably be harder than HM itself).
Do you think I have a chance?

I ended up joining a Fireteam, and made it past the Deathsinger (until our Fireteam leader and his friends left). Needless to say, I had plenty of deaths. Especially the Bridge and Ir Yut.
Guess there is always tomorrow to finish Crota himself.

Ran it with a 30, 2x31, and 32's wasn't bad just took a bit more time.

I've done it and just try your best not to die and be honest with the others it your health is low

Easily. Just don't die and have a maxed rocket since you won't be holding the sword. I only tolerate 31s who don't die.

A 31 can get through it easy if you know what's going on I ran through crota hard with a 30 and two 31's on the fireteam and beat it with no issue

I just got done running sword for a group with 3 31's, second run we nailed it. If a group doesn't let you in they probably saved you a lot of time.

Don't listen to any of these clowns...yes you can no problem. As long as you have a good rocket launcher with tracking people will play with you. I did it as 31 in past. Every time I have beaten HM crota it's been with a couple 31s.

Level is not important. A good player can go through crota boss without being shot. As long as there is enough rocket power in the team youll have no problems. Lvl 32 swordbearer is a big plus though.

Two of my buddies and I carry 3 30's through hard mode. Just have them wait in the crystal room, being wary of the occasional thrall.

I did it with my 31 Titan..with a group that knows what to do, it's no problem

I was a little worried to do it as a 31 my first time, but it's no problem. You'll be fine

You'll be ok so long as you know what do to where and when. Just don't try running sword at 31.

2 RisposteUntil I see a team of 5 31s and a 32 sword-bearer complete the raid on hard flawlessly, Im gonna say "HELL NO!!". 31s often have this attitude of that they need someone to carry them. They say they are good but they are not. Last time I invited a 31 into my hard crota cp, he got killed by the boomers AFTER we cleared the crystal room. Even if they do manage to pull through, there is no reason why I would pick them over a lvl 32.

It's possible but you just die wayyy to quick One swing from a Knight(Yellow) = Dead One boomer shot = Dead 2-3 Thrall hits = Dead Anything = Dead This is coming from a current level 31... Either that, or I just suck XD

Yea. But better off doing norm and getting to 32 first. Otherwise your pretty much a carry

yes you can, you will do less damage but with a good weapon and a good team you wont have any problems. just make sure you have a skil or perk that lets you heal HP.

I don't need to be carried and I run both normal and hard raids each week with all characters. There are times that you will die but there are 32s right next to my ghost and that's mostly only on the abyss

Anyone who can't complete HM with 2 or so 31 is a complete scrub.

Absolutely. If your short on shards be sure to get to rank 4 with Eris to switch energies for shards. Max out the xp on your duplicate weapons before dismantling them. You will get 4 energies instead of 2. Be sure to get the solo chest on all your chars. Good luck.
