Can a 31 Survive HM Crota?
Here's my predicament:
I want to get to 32 as fast as I can. I've got the gear I need, but it seems that every Crota run I complete, I only get enough shards to level one defensive upgrade for one piece of gear. So, I think I'm debating on trying to get into a Hard Mode group (which will probably be harder than HM itself).
Do you think I have a chance?

I ended up joining a Fireteam, and made it past the Deathsinger (until our Fireteam leader and his friends left). Needless to say, I had plenty of deaths. Especially the Bridge and Ir Yut.
Guess there is always tomorrow to finish Crota himself.

My clan can 5 man hm so I don't see why a 31 couldn't do it with a full group first team to down it had 2 31s in their group

all the time, just don't get hit and equip armor that replenish your health when picking up

Almost every hard completion I have has had 31's in it

Done hard as a 31, and done hard as a 32. There's not much difference between the two. Yes, a 31 can definitely survive.

Um... HELL YA! My first time beating hard mode Crota I was level 31 and it really wasn't bad as long as you know what your doing and you have some decent gear and a rocket with tracking you should have no trouble making a group or doing it

Me and my clanmates just did HM for the first time with two 32s with unmaxed weapons. It was awesome.

Yes it's possible. A lil more difficult but possible. Just have to be at your A game and have a good fireteam

i have a 32 and 2 31 and do hard crota 3x a week , stop asking dumb questions.

2 RisposteOne of my better teams was me as a 32 sword guy, another 32, and 4 31's, and we did just fine. A couple tries to get the motions down, but then it was a cake walk.

You do realize people have completed Hard Mode with only 31s, right?

1 Rispondiyeah, it's 100% possible. You'll die a lot, especially in the Crota battle, and you're team should probably do the middle stratagy since you won't be able to withstand the boomers for long, but my team has done it with 31s. You just have to find a group that aren't going to be a-holes about you being 31 and possibly dying a lot.

Sure. We did it with 5 (3*32's and 2*31's) Just have enough firepower and don't die ;)

I did hard a few times as a 31. I'm a warlock so i ran Obsidian Mind until Crota then switched to Apothiosis Veil. Which is what i still run at 32. Have a maxed Gjallarhorn which helped.

Take a red death, maybe a helm with infusion and maxed weapons (HoC and Black Hammer if you have them) and heavy synth. As long as you know what you're doing you'll be fine :)

I've done it with at least 2-3 31's before, you need good gear though, no tracking rockets and no gear to heal, I'd say wait until you do

Get another character to level 30 then do the raid twice wich means double the shards.

Full team of 30s did it so yeah just don't suck
