Close Phogoth Door (Closet)
Make it so that all players have to be in the small room so that the front door opens. When the front door opens the back door should close.
Make less adds spawn if you have to, but Phogoth should not be cheesed every damn time.

Entitlement generation feel they are entitled to the free kill. I remember back when people enjoyed a challenge.
1 person can do it 100% from the doorway with 0 chance of taking any damage. How can anyone be this lazy that they are ok with a [b]boss[/b]being a free kill?
Also I'm not saying more cover shouldn't be added to the main room... People should just have to go in the main room. It should be [b]fun.[/b]

3 RisposteIn that case, they should also add more cover inside the boss room, because a few small boulders aren't gonna cut it, especially on a Nightfall where you've got hordes of thralls that can maul you to death with lightswitch and Hive Knights and Wizards that will blast you to oblivion with one-shot Arc blasts. If you and your team all have strong arc weapons that can take Phogoth down in 30 seconds from the moment you step through the door, then go to town on him. But other than that, you'll basically spend most of the time jumping around like rabbits avoiding Boomer shots and Wizard Arc rain while shooting them and the boss. If you have a Titan Defender with you, that that'll provide more cover at least.

2 RisposteThis has been the cheese since the first time the strike was nightfall. Everyone knows about it and if they were going to fix it, it would b fixed. Like the cheese for arkon, u know the one where u go under the ramp and shot he's knee. This one won't b fixed so low level people with no friends can still do it. So kids and unskilled players can still do it. I have done it both ways it's not a big deal nor do I care. I just want it done fast with no wipe. I'm one man I can't carry the team

That said, I use the room in nightfalls unless it's a premade of [i]my[/i] friends who I know are properly equipped. Most people I've noticed during the weeklies don't even use corresponding burn gear,

There's is absolute no way that someone is going to go out and shoot phogoth to death without taking cover because if you leave the room then you'll more than likely run to the left rock and take cover there. 9 RisposteI recommend that you watch YouTube videos by BDobbinsFTW. Game Developers are acutely aware of the casual gamer. Therefore when strategies such as these are discovered, they are hesitant to close these identified gaps in fear of losing the casual gamer who does not have in-game skill or the gear earned through countless hours of grinding, to fight in an open arena. My favourite exploit of shooting Phogoth with an LDR (armour piercing through walls) was removed because kids whined about being shot while they were behind cover in the Crucible. If you want PVE exploits removed - bitch about PvP in a manner that references PVE. PvP has a massive effect on how we are allowed to play PVE. Those that can; do. Those that cannot; whine.

5 RisposteExcept using the two room method is neither a cheese or glitch. Its not an exploit. Its called a strategy. Take all three Guardians into that room, get near the door, a couple of well placed boomer arc shots and the whole team is in orbit. Ignore the Shrieker or keep killing it and you're likely to end up in orbit. In case you also didn't notice if you pull too far back, you have some fireteam members leave the darkness zone, guess what happens if 2 members fall too far back out of the darkness zone and one Guardian dies in the darkness zone? Yep, orbit. Your call for the change is unnecessary. And I call B.S. that you run around with your whole fireteam on Nightfall outside that door area. Only on Nightfall do I use the two room STRATEGY. When not on Nightfall, I use the back rock strategy.
