To all you thorn haters out there...
Theres a lot of post on the forums atm about the thorn and that everyone who uses it is bad and is a scrub and so on and so on. To recieve the thorn you have to grind through a long and elusive bounty. If we have done the bounty why the -blam!- are we not allowed to use the weapon?
Prove to me why I should stop using the thorn u "thorn haters"

no one is saying youre not allowed to use the weapon, that makes not sence and for the bounty. it was easy as fuk. i finished it in like 3 or 4 hours tops. but thorn is kinda unbalanced. not saying it needs a nerf, just a few tweeks here and there

Also. Thorn is really not that bad. I still get killed a ton with it and I did pretty much the same when I was using the tfwpky 1969

Bounty was a piece of cake. And I use it... It needs a freaking nerf. It's my " oh crap I'm losing Better use to win" gun

It's a great gun. I use it only on my hunter on long range stages because he only has handcannons. But personally my go to is the last word.

1 RispondiThorn is the most overused weapon in Iron Banner & standard crucible. If we have learned anything from bungies notes regarding suros/autos is that overused weapons get nerfed. By all means, keep using it religiously;)

Have done the thorn bounty twice and I hardly use it anymore. Used it a ton before it was buffed, but just generally prefer other weapons now. Rocked Red Death for awhile and now using Three Little Words and enjoy it. Thorn is just that a thorn in my side, but it is not so OP you cannot outgun it.

I don't care what anyone uses in the crucible but to say thorn users all earned theirs is simply not true. Check l4g sites or r/Fireteams and you will almost always see someone looking for help with Xyor or pvp tips. If you soloed Xyor then sure. Helping others with torn bounty is the One thing in the game I will no longer do

Not a thorn user but these kids can't tell you what to use and what not to. They have every ability in the world to use thorn as well. If they don't like it they can quit whining

I just got the weapon bounty but I still think the lingering damage needs to be slightly nerfed in crucible

No problem when ppl are using it it's one of the most powerful guns in pvp right now. I'm currently working on the bounty right now. The only thing they should change is the range just a bit tho

Edit: Yay 500 replies[/quote] All the other hand cannons have a chance to two shot thorn does anyway if they made it not a two shot they would have to add a new perk to it to have to potential to two shot.

Im just bad at crucible so i don't care, use what you prefer, if you like the thorn then thorn away. Shotgun? Go for it. Sniping good on ya.

9 RispostePeople that HAVE Thorn aren't the ones complaining usually. It's the ones that are too LAZY to finish the bounty that complain. If you can't get past the 500 Void kills part, then I have news for you... It's probably not Thorn that's OP... YOU'RE probably UP.

The hate is coming from that consensus, and it definitely seems to be a majority of the people who enjoy playing Crucible. I'm not the type who thinks nerfs are a good thing, especially entire classes of weapons based on one powerful weapon in the class, or based on the popularity of a weapon's class. But....... certain weapons probably do (or did) need a slight nerf individually, because they are the ones causing entire classes of weapons to be nerfed. Just look at all the complaints. Suros, Red Death, Bad Juju, Thorn, Last Word..... All of these weapons are perceived to be OP, and it's these types of weapons alone that cause nerf, after nerf, after nerf. I hate to say this, but I really do think that maybe these individual weapons are the ones that need a slight nerf, instead of nerfing all auto rifles, or all handcannons, or all pulse rifles...whatever. Blanket nerfing never fixes the problem, because in relation to almost all other weapons in that class, those weapons will still be comparatively over-powered. That's why weapons like Thorn should be nerfed, however slightly, imo. Because all weapons like that do is cause EVERY nerf.

It is a good weapon and no one can kill me with it so I am good. I get killed by everything but thorn because I charge for close range encounters.

I see no problem using Thorn if you put in the time to get it. I would use it since I have it, but for those rare times I do Crucible I choose the Vex Mythoclast instead.
