Slayer: Flaggers give you serious flak, "How dare he score kills while I'm stuck capping a point!". But we all know you're just as necessary as the Flagger (given you're good at your job).
Flagger: "The Real MVP" Sure the Slayer can get as many kills as he wants... But he WILL die eventually, if you don't make his points worth it he can quickly throw the game (which angers the piss outta ye.).
Trapper: You know who you are, whether it's a well-placed tripmine in a flanking position, FoH on a cap point, or Novabomb on their Heavy, the best way to ensure victory is to ensure your mates don't get any "surprises".
Harrasser: Nothing like being the steady push, you may not get all the kills but not for lack of trying. Hit-and-run, Sniping, anything to put pressure on them without ever really being in danger until that "clever girl" comes 'round. Sure you're not the greatest contributor, but that doesn't mean the enemy's gaining any points from you.
Defender: "We have our flags aye, but we all know what happens if they don't stay up.". Call 'em campers, sissies, etc. You know there's someone on your team doing the same thing down the stairs at B over in Blind Watch. Main difference from the Harrasser is the tendency to stick closer to points instead of staying right behind the Slayers.
Jester: You know that ass-hat that took your teams' heavy ammo, then darted off like that giddy little school girl who stole your sweetroll back in third grade? or the lad who darts-in, has your entire team chase him for a good 7-10 seconds all while the enemy team caps points/take potshots? Hi. (K/Ds may vary, extremely reliant on a competent team/communication to capitalize on the enemy's distraction.)
Oh... Wow didn't expect that many votes in the first five minuets...
"The Last Word": I knew many of these traits would apply to certain players, hence the "preference" part of the poll (I myself for example am a very competent Slayer, Trapper, and Jester (Jester-Trapper combo works quite well.). What do you have the most fun/satisfaction of doing (Jester)?
"Well, almost": We hit 5K votes, thank you for the information, of course this is not a definitive poll.

Defender majority of the time
-
Trapper/harrasser. I like to snipe, and im fairly decent at it most of the time. Ill kill a few enemies here, move, score a few more kills, die, repeat till super is charged. Then its a bumrush to the closest cp getting capped by enemies, deliver a swift "hulk smash" esque FoH, then back to sniping.

Where is the selection for constant respawn. I spawn. I die. That's my crucible life
-
2 RisposteThe guy who captures A on Blind Watch.
-
Harasser/ Slayer. Love to annoy the other team to the point that they go out of their way to attempt killing me. I stay in one place just long enough for them to think I'll be there all game then flip the switch and catch um checking in on my last placement. All while being a very competent support player. Team awareness is the most important thing for me. Picking up assists and taking out players that my teammates are putting shots into is high on my priority list.
-
I figure I'm a bit of a defender and flagger I try to keep our flags going our way, and usually run between the two, if we are playing right, and try to keep them clear while the slayers go do their thing I run a sunsinger, so when I do get popped I like to wait till the other team has 2 or 3 people standing around me, capping the flag, then, self res, drop a grenade and start scorch melee I don't quite have the crucible skills to survive in the wild on my own lol, so I try to play more of a support role
-
Slayer. My style is to put pressure on the enemy team so that the Defender's and Flagger's get their job done. I'll die after I take out two or three maybe, so that should thin the ranks out for a successful cap in the end.
-
I'm a harasser mixed with flagger
-
I would say I'm a trapper...always flanking the enemy when the enemy is heavily concitrated on the things in front of them.
-
Depending on the game Im usually slayer trapper, harasser. If we're losing I'm pushing points all day just to try and thin the crowd for the next guy. If we're winning I'm playing the objective but pushing forward so the guys behind me can cap and they get a buffer. I don't consider myself good but usually in the top 3 on my team.

Modificato da AboveAverageDad: 3/28/2015 7:50:09 PMI'm a rover/strong safety type. Nice and balanced while trying to be unpredictable. Doing anything I can when certain occasions arise. Typically a medium/long range slayer that puts myself in harms way often.
-
1 RispondiDefender all the way. This is my flag. There are many like it, but this one is mine. If you try to take it, I will give you hell.
-
Little bit of slater, trapper, and jester. Go on to their spawn, take me out, then when I hear the bladedancer or see a bunch of enemies I lead all around to our teams side while we have heavy ammo. Lead 'em through a door, toss a trip mine and get a couple a points and then do a dance when my team rockets their asses
-
2 RisposteI stand at the b flag saying "come at me bro, this is my flag" I will spend the entire game defending flag b, I usually keep it for the majority of the game. I get ambushed though cause the people who "need" to capture a and c like the enemy spawning all over the map.

Modificato da ryan10g: 3/28/2015 12:39:04 AM100% psycho, forget KD, I want that once a game trip or better kill from going crazy with shotty melee combo aslong as im in the top of the leader board which i may be off on the KD part, dont know how many games im in first with like a 1.1 or 1.2 kd but 2000points ahead of my teammates Edit : Psycho Slayer*
-
Definitely a flagger. I think it's just habit from playing too much Domination in other games. I think I'm top 10% in capturing points, and like mid 30's/40's for K/D. Clearly I need to change PvP careers.
-
Hrasser and trapper, I like staying at a distance with my tripmine to cover my back. I have the spine of aharmkara so if it runs out I can just put another one up. I usually position myself to hold up choke point or capture points. I'm that guy in anomaly on the catwalk covering B and the other door with a sniper/scout rifle. If someone starts to come up I book it and set myself up for a turn around or trap, Going in on head to head engagements are super risky, would rather just play it safe.
-
My favorite thing to do when in Jester mode is to wait until heavy ammo to use my fist of havoc. I use death from above, and just come flying down on the little 3 man groups that are just waiting for the heavy ammo. Then dance for a split second, then run.
-
I play clash
-
Slayer/Flagger/Defender at any given point during a match. I voted Slayer, but if I'm near an uncapped or enemy flag I'll go for it (with exceptions - A on Blind Watch, etc.); if one of ours is in the process of being neutralized and I'm in range I'll take as many as I can out to defend it. Ultimately I'm really just looking for a fight, win or lose . . .
-
If I start getting shot at, I run. Based on this instinct, I'd say I'm a "Harasser"
-
I'm definitely a Defender/Slayer. I usually run as Hunter with the scout rifle/sniper combo. Weapons that are gloriously terrible for CQC. When opposing players do message me afterwards, it's almost always because they're b****ing about me anchoring and keeping enemies off of C and B on Shores of Time. I wouldn't get messages afterwards if I wasn't so effective at keeping C.
-
Well depending what map I'm either a defender (aka that guy that snipes you and makes you frustrated) or a slayer
-
Modificato da SillyFoal649066: 3/27/2015 8:22:06 AMSlayer. Always on the move, always blinking looking for a kill. I get a lot of kills, but I might get in over my head every so often. Edit: Love the post man, been playing a lot of crucible since the games release, control being my favorite mode. You hit the different personalities right on the head.
-
No preference. Situational though i guess both a flagger and slayer...?
