Seriously, it exaggerates all the flaws with PvP in this game this time!
1. SHOTGUNZ!
Bungie just don't bring it. Shotguns are still too low risk, too high reward! The shotgun nerf did NOTHING, as Felwinter's Lie laughs about it, and so do the maps, especially Anomaly. It's not a thing about keeping your distance to shotguns, as you plainly CAN'T! Eliminates any skill gap there ever was.
2. LAAA - wait for it - AAAG!!!
Don't know what the hell happened this time, but even for Destiny standards, this time Iron Banner is lagging like crazy. Shots are constantly not registering, and certain abilities like Fist of Panic and Shoulder Charge or sliding just make you invincible even though you clearly hit your prey. Ridiculous!
3. BALANCING! And you STILL fall off the rail!
Congratulations on nerfing Hand Cannons and ARs which NO ONE asked for! At least now we can use Pulse Rifles instead of Sniper Rifles! Everything you achieved with the HC nerf especially, is that shots won't register properly anymore, due to the range nerf. It's not about damage or direct time to kill, it's about CONSISTENCY! Bungie eliminated consistent Hand Cannon duels! But at least the Thorn remains unaffected, because it's such a skillful gun, right? I was dreading the Red Death beforehand, but the real enemy is hit registration here!
Throw your frikkin' Crucible out of the window, Bungie! Leave the idiotic Iron Banner be for some months and give us Queen's Wrath! And before you introduce Saladin again, make sure you give us a comptetitive environment that time around!

It seems that shotguns are indeed commonly accepted as being just extremely effective. Food for thought.
Lag seems to a real this time around, too. For me personally, not only are many shots just not registering, but I'm getting many apple errors. Interestingly, often after a very good game. Hm.

1 RispondiAuto rifles are near useless and are outgunned by pulse and scout rifles. Thorn outguns every other primary and some heavy machine guns. Blink+Felwinter's is outright broken.

19 Risposte1. Shotguns are only good at close range. Stop running at them... Problem solved. 2. Lag? Check your connection. If it's a consistent problem for you, it's probably your fault. 3. Balance? Everything has a counter, adjust your tactics. See number 1. I bet your one of those players that can't believe it every time they die. That's why I love not hearing my teammates. People constantly making excuses. "Lag!" or "I shot him first" or "that ________ is OP". Sorry, your not Leroy Jenkins.

1 RispondiI agree with you, regarding shotguns. I don't necessarily think it's the weapon in themselves though, but more how maps are built. Lag is my biggest gripe about destiny. I have made posts regarding this subject but obviously I never expect a response. Why in the history of gaming is match making not searched locally then periodically expanded? Why am I placed on a game half way through despite remaining in the lobby after a game? I have videos and pictures regarding lag, I will create a montage at some point and post it.

Hand cannons are still like snipers, The Last Words range is like at 12 out of 100 on the range scale yet can be fired at a ridiculous distance and still be effective. I use it a lot and I really think it's OP as bawls.

The range on hand cannons is insane. The maps are all shotgun friendly for sure. The lag will always be an issue with any shooter. I'm just used to by now.

Instead of a rehash of story missions and the removal of shards from dismantled armor, they could have added to the story of the Awoken with new content. They could have given us these new missions, with various difficulties and modifiers active whose choice would open up different weapon and armor loot reward groups. One of the aspects of PvP that I like is that what happens from match to match, regardless of being on familiar maps, can be so unpredictable. PvE events should be like this as well. With another Queens Wrath event, they have the chance to make it engaging for the PvE peeps, yet separate from HoW content, but I fear that they'll miss the opportunity.

I like number 2, solely for the NPH aspect of HIMYM. If that wasn't an intentional use of the "wait-it-" I will be disappointed on a legen-wait-for-it------------ no just a rare level... --dary just couldn't stop myself.

The problem I have is the fact special ammo is always available so people always have access to a 1 shot kill. As for red death the fact that it can out range MIDA is a bit of a joke!

Despite the Lag, I got all 3 of my characters to rank 4 before Sunday. No need to get to rank 5, already had Similar's Wrath as a loot drop from a previous Iron banner, and I acquired all the chest pieces I needed for each character.

Shotguns are acceptable. If a person is willing to close the gap that much in order to get a single or double shot kill, then that's on them. Normally, you'll be shot at the entire time you're running at them. The lag this time around was worse than it's ever been. While I'm normally a semi decent PvP player, I found it impossible to play the way that I normally do, because when I did, my shots wouldn't register. Even with me shooting people in the face with a shotgun and then following up with a punch, the initial damage wouldn't register until after I was dead or most times not at all. While my net speeds aren't the best in the world (30mbs) it's better than a lot of people. I'm not getting any of that benefit.

4 RisposteIn a match on anomaly, me and two buddies got sniped by icebreaker from across the map lol That guy was a pain! We finally went and rooted him out, then he self resd, he popped me and one other buddy before the 3rd took him out, again lol But hey, if it works! Nice shooting for a small map, and, at least it wasn't a shotgun!
