Give me a reason to buy the Hard Light.
I'll start this by stating I'm not an exotic collector and I do not like high RoF auto-rifles. I've seen the Hard Light in action and while I think it's a cool gun, I'm far more comfortable with virtually anything else in my hands. Especially after the AR nerfs, I can't see any reason why I should part with 23 strange coins. I also only play as one character, so getting 18+ strange coins a week is out of the picture for me, making me think even more so that skipping this purchase and hording my 50+ or so coins for future content is the better choice.
Unless I'm missing something, I'm going to pass on Xur all together this week. Does anyone have any reason that could possibly sway me? I want to buy it, just because it's an exotic weapon; however, I really can't see myself using it in any practical situation.
Re-Edit: I bought it because it was shiny and goes "pew pew."

If you're not an exotic collector or an auto rifle lover I wouldn't. I'm the former, so I'll level it most of the way up but I doubt I'll use an exotic shard on it or use it after its leveled.

Save your coins!!! I never use mine and haven't even hit the last upgrade tree after 2 months. It was my first exotic reward and I still never used it. The perks are shit and it's a waste of an exotic slot

5 RisposteIts terrible, i have no problem with recoil, i can shoot fine with it, however the impact sucks, and burns ammo to fast = no damage = sucks.

2 RisposteHonestly even if you loved ar's Id say its still not worth it. Its a very cool gun and fun to use but not very effective unfortunately. So I'd save the strange coins and wait on something that's more effective or fits your style.

If it's not your style I wouldn't buy it. Easiest way to explain. Buying video games. Would you buy a game you know nothing about and doesn't even make you slightly interested even based on the cover. Its completly outside the genre of games that interest you and normally steal your atyention from other games. Would you buy it?

With the updates that change gun mechanics in mind this piece of shit could be the next best thing. That's only reason I'm getting it.

Sounds like you are uninterested. It was my second exotic on XBox One and I was less than impressed till I got it fully upgraded. After being upgraded it was a very good medium to close quarters auto rifle "machine gun". It excels at taking out closely cropped groups of enemies. Just mows them down. Great sounding gun too. It was one of my "go to" guns for defend public events, when enemies come at you in tightly packed groups. I was short of coins this week, but managed to get 23 and buy it on PS4. I hope Thunderlord is next week, because I already have 2, but I felt Hard Light was worth picking up. A fun gun to use. Now, to start collecting some coins again.

I was blessed by RNG months ago and got Hard Light, personally I love it...but...if you want to be frugal and you're not a collector I would suggest passing on it and waiting for it to drop for you. One mans opinion...
