Give me a reason to buy the Hard Light.
I'll start this by stating I'm not an exotic collector and I do not like high RoF auto-rifles. I've seen the Hard Light in action and while I think it's a cool gun, I'm far more comfortable with virtually anything else in my hands. Especially after the AR nerfs, I can't see any reason why I should part with 23 strange coins. I also only play as one character, so getting 18+ strange coins a week is out of the picture for me, making me think even more so that skipping this purchase and hording my 50+ or so coins for future content is the better choice.
Unless I'm missing something, I'm going to pass on Xur all together this week. Does anyone have any reason that could possibly sway me? I want to buy it, just because it's an exotic weapon; however, I really can't see myself using it in any practical situation.
Re-Edit: I bought it because it was shiny and goes "pew pew."

2 RisposteIf it's not your style of gun I'd say don't bother. I like most ARs myself, it looks awesome, the sound effects mixed with the (laser blast looking), over-penetrating rounds combined, with the ricochet, makes for some fun pve gameplay for a while lol. Mine's not fully upgraded, but even so, it doesn't seem like much in the crucible, if I'm gonna run high rof, I tend to use the Monte Carlo over it.

It's terrible, don't buy it. The only upside to it being sold is; every little twelve year old will be using it in Crucible

Bullet hose auto rifles have long been considered the lowest of the low when it came to primary weapons. It's better than the nechrocasm, but that's really not saying much. the recent auto rifle nerf has rendered low impact/high rof auto rifles into the realm of uselessness. Hard light hits for incredibly small amounts of damage & suffers from low stability and range. I would only say buy it if you care about collecting all exotics. Also, Bungie must realize that weapons like these are just in a really bad place right now and buff them. I mean when was the last time you saw someone using hard light or nechrocasm in a raid or any high end content? Bad Juju and thorn both used to be weak weapons, now Juju is an excellent pve weapon and thorn is one of the best PVP weapons.

Fun to use? Amazing sound when fired? Amazing design? Why not get the hardlight? (I didn't get hardlight from xür I got MINE from from MY FIRST HM ATHEON KILL!!! So, GET IT.)
