Listen people, if you have two awesome points in control, for the love of the Traveler DO NOT go for the third. It's real frustrating when the enemy starts spawning behind your team. All too many times we've been in the lead only to have two or three people think "Yeah, we're crushing them" then lose.
End rant
Edit: I heard Eris' voice too when I typed the headline, sorry for the troll click bait. Not going to change it now though, giggitty.

1 RispondiBut Eris said, and I quote: "Push forward guardian"

I think the decision really depends on the map, your team members, and the current flow of the match. I've had control games on Twilight Gap, which has great flow between the points in terms of potential routes, where my team has taken all 3 points in the first minute or two and held them for half to 75% of the match. On a map like Blind Watch you lose if you so much as look at point A, and Firebase Delphi has a bit of an issue with B being a moshpit and the other two points being somewhat disconnected and hard to get between, so neither of them are good for it. Rusted lands can also be dominated somewhat easily if your team has a good formation and weapon setup.

50 RisposteGood post. Belongs on a clan forum. You cant train the whole internet to behave the way you want (trust me). Small groups will follow your lead, though.
-
Co-Signed. Kids read your ass some SunTzu.
-
1 RispondiAnd to add, just because the map spawns you there doesn't mean you need to cap it. Go back and defend the ones you already have, you team will need the help.
-
2 RispostePUSH FORWARD GUARDIAN.... You know you can get the point... You would be the hero... Lockdown... Don't you want that medal? Don't lie to yourself, I know you want it... And you just read that in Eris Morns voice. (maybe)

We must pull sideways!
-
This guy understands!
-
CoD domination is too ingrained into most players minds i think, even was for me at first
-
Play with a fireteam = problem solved.
-
Thank you - completely agree! Only exception is when you're trying to flip the spawn, but then you need to abandon the first control point. Also, why does nobody opt into the game chat?
-
6 RisposteI will continue pushing forward and playing in the worst possible, self-centered way. My K/D ratio will never be positive, and I will continually take heavy ammo before anyone else is there. After all, isn't playing PvP terribly the best way to get exotics?!?
-
1 RispondiSecond most frustrating thing. Only behind when one dink on your team grabs heavy for himself when 3 other players are clearly rushing for it. Only time it's acceptable is if you see red on your radar. Then grab it real quick
-
Yup. This. As a random and crucible noob, single best advice I was given. Hell, team I was on won more than one match holding a single point most of the time and just decimating the other teams.
-
We'd get all nice and set up then one random would see that damn red flag and Sprint straight for it like a kid with adhd who saw something shiny... Then the spawns would flip.. Don't get me started..
-
16 RisposteAlso, stay and cap the damned first point. 75x6= 450 points. That's like 4 kills, almost instantly.
-
Hear,hear... its simplest tactic in domination/control games yet no one gets it right. Also at start of a match leave 2 to get closest point everyone else go to B no matter what map
-
2 RisposteIs it wrong to report people who spawn flip and cause the team to lose for being unhelpful? Because that's what they are.
-
2 RisposteModificato da Sushie: 3/21/2015 5:48:24 AMBUMP! For the good of all mankind, if you're that guy capping A on Blind Watch we will come after you with pitchforks and torches!
-
1 RispondiLol. I thought this was going to be about the omnigul strike.
-
8 RisposteHad to leave Blind Watch this morning as my pug grp started on A, then proceeded to keep going in the front door at B, and feeding them points. I read a post last night that made sense. Why frustrate yourself by grinding out the match with a dumbass grp? So I left. Next match was an all pug lobby 😃
-
It's so annoying. I was at C (we had it) on Shores of Time and some idiot thought it would be a good idea to start taking A. Well, the spawns flipped, and enemies started spawning around me:(
-
absolutely dude I enter chat every time I'm running Crucible solo - but I can never hear anyone else talk
-
What's ever better though is control of all areas but I hear you

Every time Eris tells me to push forward during the Stealth Vandal wave, I tell her to suck it. Don't tell me my business, devil woman!!
