Shotguns take more skill than you think

It's not easy to blink shotgun and go on killstreaks when you're constantly surrounded by the enemy. Also when you get one shotted from max distance the person is ads and pointing it at your head. It's a fair reward.
Most of the people who bitch about it would not do that well. The felwinter is a beast but it's rate of fire is very low so getting multi kills isn't easy. In Iron Banner I'd say it's not even the best shotgun. Other shotguns with the same hammer forged shot package combo can be more effective.
The point being, git gud scrubs
Let me see you use the agility of blink to quickly take out big groups of enemies coming from all angles at once. It takes skill. Not every shotgun guy just blindly runs round corners hip firing hoping for the best. You're just salty
Edit : I made a voidwalker. This is just as 'OP' as blade dancer but no one seems to complain? Watch the video as I collect many tears from all the other classes trying to super me.

Shotguns are what ruin crucible, I never have had problems with fighting them but I know people who do, it's just the only way the average noob can get kills

I find it difficult to blink shotgun as well because I am either going to get shot while in mid-air or take a throwing knife to the face, darn those skilled hunters xD

1 RispondiLol, when Bungie decides to nerf range on shotguns again, they'll be using these videos are examples of everything that is wrong with shotguns in Crucible right now. As an aside, I love shotguns, and these clips were impressive. Knowing how to flank, and use your maneuverability with a shotgun does take skill, regardless of what anyone says.

I can't use blink for the life of me! Always get killed trying to jump up a could feet :) I needs lots o practice with it me thinks. Gitting güd helps too I hear. May try that tonight too!

1 RispondiCompletely agree, like any weapon they can be dominant if used right and piss poor if used wrong. Anyone running around with a shotgun as their primary and actually doing well going on streaks needs to have pretty good map awareness to always get themselves in the right kind of encounters to get the kill and survive. Also takes skill to know when to pull the trigger, many times I've tried to blast someone with a shotgun from too far away and left the opponent with a sliver of health only to one shot me with their shotgun because they were just better, no denying it takes skill to be constantly coming out on top in battles like that.

6 RisposteI ran my hunter with blink and universal remote the other day. I wasn't even trying to get kills, basically just pulled the trigger when someone passed in front of me and ended with a .8 Shotguns take ZERO skill

You can blink and aim fast than someone can turn to shoot you. To be in one spot and then instantly in another with your weapon instantly ready is OP AF. It basically an in game lag switch. I am saying this from personal experience. Not from rage for getting killed by it.

10 RisposteTake secondary ammo drops out of PvP and a lot of you "good" players would be scrubs overnight. Went into Rumble Matches, for the bounty, and pretty much got T-Boned left and right by what weapon? SHOTGUNS. Since when did they become primary weapons?

17 RisposteShotguns don't need skill. They're just a way to prevent losing a melee fight. They are working, that's why every casual uses them. It's the same as using a Super or i.e. the Suros before the patch = An easy to use weapon to have a slight chance of getting cheap kills without a real gunfight. Problem is, there is way too much special ammo. Sliding and Blinking makes this flaw even worse.
