Shotguns take more skill than you think

It's not easy to blink shotgun and go on killstreaks when you're constantly surrounded by the enemy. Also when you get one shotted from max distance the person is ads and pointing it at your head. It's a fair reward.
Most of the people who bitch about it would not do that well. The felwinter is a beast but it's rate of fire is very low so getting multi kills isn't easy. In Iron Banner I'd say it's not even the best shotgun. Other shotguns with the same hammer forged shot package combo can be more effective.

Let me see you use the agility of blink to quickly take out big groups of enemies coming from all angles at once. It takes skill. Not every shotgun guy just blindly runs round corners hip firing hoping for the best. You're just salty
Edit : I made a voidwalker. This is just as 'OP' as blade dancer but no one seems to complain? Watch the video as I collect many tears from all the other classes trying to super me.

I did the buckshot bruiser bounty today because I felt kinda scrubby and like I should disregard my humanity, so I pulled out my shotgun and completed the bounty in one game... Getting a 5 kill streak almost every life, easiest shit I've ever done. Shotgun are the easiest gun to do well with.

Totally agree. Felwinter def requires some serious timing with such a slow rof. You miss your usually dead. I main with it in crucible. Nothing more satisfying then being completing surrounded and blinking through the room taking damage but managing to clear the room with precise shots.

Shotguns create the shortest encounters in pvp. If you use a primary, it takes consistency and dexterity in order to continue a not so short gunfight or encounter.

I know, I'm constantly annoyed to see people complaining about shotguns claiming it takes no skill. Especially Snipers complaining. My god, I hate hearing someone who deliberately hides from battle tell me I have no skill

At 1:13 is a perfect example of felwinters range not being nearly as op as everyone cries about that dude was ~ 15 feet away and you didn't even get his shield all the way. Tired of people saying there getting one shot at 30 feet.

1 RispondiI agree that shotgun or even blink+shotgun takes some skill. I used to be adamant that shotguns were scrubby until I started mixing it in my loadout. They really aren't that bad. However, this video is somewhat scrubby. Very mediocre shotgun work. Flashes of brilliance for sure, but nothing crazy.

1 RispondiThey take some skill. I would rather a shotgun fest than the terrible fusion fest we used to have. Anyway my problem is that shotguns should skillfully be used as a compliment. I don't care about skill level with them, I care that too many people use them as a primary which forces me to use them as well. Hopefully they will severely reduce all special ammo in PVP. If people use shotguns sometimes, it's fine.

For anyone without a felwinters, judgement, or found verdict with shot package and hammer forged this might be true, but for everyone with those guns and those specific perks its futile to try and make this argument. I just leveled my rerolled felwinters with shot package and hammer forged and i actually feel a little bad for everyone i kill. Bottom line those shotguns with those perks absolutely require 0 skill, i am terrible with shotguns and after getting this combo on my felwinters my "skill" if you can call it that, as i would not, has improved 1,000 fold. Do i think it needs a nerf? Absolutely not, while these guns are great they lack RoF so they really should all be named "Dont Miss" because if you miss its a death. Shotguns are finally where they should be, at the 0-10 foot range its perfect, but again i repeat ZERO SKILL especially with aim assist, every time you zoom out and zoom back in it reacquires a target; NO SKILL.
