I am an average/below average crucible player at best. Striving to be a better player draws me back to PVP, recently I have been grinding the IB rep for the first time and got to noticing the amount of people that pick up heavy ammo the instant it is dropped, leaving the rest of the fire team without.
Common sense tells you that a full team of 6 with heavy ammo is better than 1 person with it. Even if you were to wait for at least 1 more person to get there rather than thinking "-blam!- it, I want my rockets now" and screwing over the rest of your team.
It's not always feasible to wait as the enemy team maybe rushing that heavy too, but just taking a micro second to think about it might help instead of thinking its a -blam!-ing Christmas free for all and helping yourself.

1 RispondiGuess what? 6 people on your team having heavy is a lot better than just 1. But only 1 person having it on your team is infinitely better than the opposing team having 2 heavys. That is how you lose games, not just gunfights.
-
Crouched and went invisible next to our heavy once jic and waited for a teammate to get there. He must not have seen me and was shocked as hell when I picked up the ammo. Backed away and shot at me lol
-
Common sense would be too be at the heavy ammo spawn just before or as it arrives, because why should others lose killing time waiting for you to run on over to heavy? Remember the heavy ammo spawns and the times they come in and it shouldn't be a problem.

7 RisposteI've been saving my defender bubble for Heavy Ammo drops, seems to gather a better crowd. especially with CoAL equipped just a suggestion to other titans

Modificato da YesTherWilBBlud: 3/19/2015 8:08:42 PMI always wait until someone else hits the button to grab it. Unless im poaching the other teams heavy then i grab it as fast as possible. If its the other teams i dont even care if i get a kill from it. I just try to ruin it for them since kills don't drop heavy anymore lol!

3 RisposteModificato da Final fantasy: 3/19/2015 7:45:35 PMI always wait for others and when i see the enemy approaching, i just go sacrifice myself to make sure they don't get the heavy ammo. 7 of the 10 times i ignore the heavy ammo drop. I do love stealing heavy ammo from the other team, making sure they don't get any :p

1 RispondiYup. It's my #1 complaint about the Crucible :(
-
I always wait. When I see red on my radar I grab it.
-
3 RisposteAgree 100% What's worse is when I'm waiting for teammates at the heavy drop and they all run right past. You're too good for heavy ammo?
-
1 RispondiModificato da flynner19: 3/19/2015 7:53:48 PMPlayed a match today where the ENTIRE team waited for everyone to arrive at the heavy ammo spawn. All I can say is holy shit we destroyed the other team. We still had heavy when the next drop came. This was my most enjoyable pvp match ever. A Titan dropped his bubble over the spawn and we waited for the last guy to arrive then absolutely wrecked. It was AWESOME. seriously I would recommend for everyone to try this. I always wait until there is at least 1 more player. I will always try and get them to wait. But sometimes they don't , hopefully this will start to change.

3 RisposteIf I see red on my radar I stop caring if people are coming for ammo. I'd rather not have the enemy get it.
-
I wait for people UNLESS I see a red blip on my radar. I'd rather one person on my team have it them one person on the other team
-
Only up to 3 can get it
-
Preach I wait as long as is possible. But if a few friendlies ride past me at the drop, then to hell with 'em. Only other time I take it solo is if I'm camped on the drop waiting for others but I see incoming enemies. I'd rather take it myself and then die rather die and let the enemy have it.
-
I rarely wait anymore when I pug. No one waits for me, and extended waiting gets me killed. Team play...always wait and don't have to wait long
