Thorns 2nd bounty is ridiculous
So I've been playing destiny for about 4 months now and early last month I got my 2nd exotic bounty. I chose the thorn bounty this time as I already had invective. The first bounty was easy. I finished all the strikes with no deaths in about an hour including loading. But then I reached the second bounty. I first had to aquire a void damage weapon which took an hour. Then I've now spent several weeks trying to get the five hundred kills in crucible but I find it impossible with the now dozens upon dozens of ice breaker users making it very difficult to get anywhere on the map. This basically makes it that i only really gain 4 points in the bounties as I seem to be killed twice for every one void damage kill.
Do you think the crucible bounties for exotics should be nerfed? Or should newer players continue to be stamped into the the ground?

Thorns bounty is hard to complete I agree but that's because thorn is ment to only be wielded by elite guardians who can finish the bounties

I'd play combined arms and just snipe with pradenths revenge. If you can et 20 or more kills a game, and have about three deaths a game, you should only have to play about 5 to 7 matches.

It took me about 10 matches to get the 500 points, and you can check my k/d I am not good at crucible, you just gotta play it either really safe with a void sniper or balls out like I did with a void shotgun/ fusion. I had word of crota but I found my self never using it, I just used truth and swordbreaker. It is hard, but so rewarding once you finish it.

It is hard for people who aren't frequent players in pvp. My advise, if you have a void class, switch to that void class. Also, any good weapon works. I logged on my friends account to help him finish it. I used a green fusion rifle. Also, it's not 500 kills. It's 500 points. You can get a group of your friends, at least 2 others. And meet in rumble! Designate a place and have them keep coming to you to kill them for the points.

I spent a Sunday afternoon running riot with my void fusion rifle, wasn't too bad but it does seem quite unnecessary. The final part of the bounty is fun though

It takes time if you don't have a void primary. It would be good if it was 300 ad not 500 points, but well... I'm not good at PvP (but got better thanks to this bounty). This is what helped me: - void fusion rifle (if you can get the helios FR5 or something from a ROC strike, it has the shortest charge rate of all fusio rifles) - heavy machine gun - If on striker or warlock: switch to the ' void' subclass. If on a hunter, bladedancer, and invisibility when crouching. - ALWAYS go for heavy ammo. heavy ammo spawns on a set schedule per map (around 9, 6 and 3 minutes I think?). Try to be close to a heavy ammo spawn BEFORE they spawn - control: other players can focus too much on objective and miss a player Adapt your play style to your team and the map: - for example: shores of time: control Charlie, and camp close by. You'll often be covered by a sniper. in general, if your team controls the good spawn point, staying around and defending it will be valuable. Dont' camp on the point itself, but somewhere close by on the most used past towards it. Preferably somewhere where players will run past you and not towards you. - best strategy seemed (for me) to just stick with other players, running with them. Was also funnier than camping strategies.

I only played crucible for this and bad juju. It's a grind, but you just need to stick at it. My K/D ended at something like 0.7 because I got so whacked by other players. Finished Thorn, was able to use a scout for the first time in ages, had a few matches of 1.6 K/D to finish bad juju.

I'm terrible at pvp, like horribly shite. But I still managed to get this one done. Just stick with your teammates so you have a better chance of survival and pay attention to your radar. High damage weapons like fusion rifles, sniper rifles, and shotguns.

Most people recommend weapons I'll recommend doing the 3 on 3 game modes less people to worry about just seems to make it that little bit easier

I played a bit safer than I usually do and finished it in under 10 matches. Btw, you need 500 points, not kills...really not hard. The main thing you might have to wait for is a good void weapon for each slot. Both VoG and CE have a void primary to go for and will help out a lot. Also, who uses Icebreaker in pvp? Not many...you were probably getting sniper with something else, like Praedyth's Revenge or something.

Honestly this bounty was very easy for me and took me less than ten games. Just find a rare void shotgun with good range and only use it

I've finished that part in 5 matches. It's not a hard thing to do. Sure it can be annoying, but it's not difficult. Granted, I did use my Warlock for it, so that helped, but still. Killing Xyor was harder than the void damage part.

Already have people complaining about it. (I'm sure some just can't get it and therefore don't want anyone to have it! :) ). Now just imagine if absolutely anyone could easily pick it up in no time. It's actually not terribly difficult to get. I did struggle with it for some time. But once I found void weapons I like, and tweaked my style to avoid so many deaths it came quite quickly. Second half just came from 4-5 really good games. First half was a good bit slower! (And I think newer players should be stamped into the ground as you say. No new player should be able to get top tier weapons immediately or easily! In any game!)

Bro I did it in under 3 hours with sword breaker (main weapon) word of crota and truth. My friend used a rare shot gun! I know a guy that used a green fusion rifle! Lol

I'm terrible at crucible and I have thorn, Atheon Epilogue or WoC both void primary any void fusion or sniper and Corrective measure.

Dude I managed it with a terrible void fusion rifle and LMG and I'm terrible at the crucible. You can do it, you just need to put the time in. Play control and camp an area. The gun needs a proving ground and honestly it's one of the only guns I feel like I've "earned" rather than been allowed to have

If someone kills me in crucible and I notice they are camping, I'll look at their weapons, notice void weapons and usually proceed to try n not kill them. I'm not going to throw a game for them but I do think that bounty is rough for some players and the quicker they get it the quicker they can do back to playing normal
