Thorns 2nd bounty is ridiculous
So I've been playing destiny for about 4 months now and early last month I got my 2nd exotic bounty. I chose the thorn bounty this time as I already had invective. The first bounty was easy. I finished all the strikes with no deaths in about an hour including loading. But then I reached the second bounty. I first had to aquire a void damage weapon which took an hour. Then I've now spent several weeks trying to get the five hundred kills in crucible but I find it impossible with the now dozens upon dozens of ice breaker users making it very difficult to get anywhere on the map. This basically makes it that i only really gain 4 points in the bounties as I seem to be killed twice for every one void damage kill.
Do you think the crucible bounties for exotics should be nerfed? Or should newer players continue to be stamped into the the ground?

Honestly this is really easy. I did mine in about 2 hours playing control and I don't play crucible much. I used atheon's epilogue with either with a void shotgun or sniper rifle depending on the map and corrective measure. Most of the time when doing this bounty I ran straight for B and then sniped. Covered it for my team to collect and then tried to hold two points for as long as possible. I did a lot of mine with randoms but having some people playing with you helps.

No. It takes time and skill to get a exotic from a exotic bounty. Thorn is a pretty good hand cannon so you have to be good and work for it

I did the void damage in 6 matches of crucible before the pulse rifle bounty with a blue void fusion rifle, its not hard just either play conservative with a good void sniper/pulse or super agressive with void shotties/fusions

I was lucky to get the bounty on my Warlock on all 3 occasions. I used Atheons Epilogue, Perun's Fire and Jolders Hammer. All void. It took me 1 hour. I'm a casual pvp guy. I wouldn't suggest you "camp" but stick to 2 capture points. Don't rush to all points. Like blind watch A and B Fire Base Delphi A and B. (Just don't rush into B that gets you killed quickly Rusted Lands A and B Just don't concentrate on how many points you loose when you die! That will mess with your confidence. You know assists count as a kill too! Just try to have a positive KD! And walk away from maps you don't feel confident enough. Hope this helps

Not sure what class you're using but I used void walker warlock, void shotgun and void heavy machine gun. Between my void abilities and void weapons I was able to do this in several days(maybe 5 hours max). Here's a few tips: if you're getting destroyed, leave the match, it sucks but really not worth the headache of losing have your points. Play control, camp at easily defended control points, or if you run about, do so with a team mate, your more likely to not get killed this way. Also, once iron banner comes around(I think it starts tomorrow) crucible gets a lot easier because the 'hardcore' players are all doing iron banner. Also, switch to your primary if it's going to save you from a death. Also kills give you more points than the amount you lose per death. Every time you die check your points to make sure you're still making progress.

Once you get thorn you'll realise why it was so hard to get.

3 RisposteAtheons Epilogue, Void Fusion or Shotty, and void HMG or Rocket. Play control, because you will always know where the enemies are, or are going to be. Stick with your teammates, dont ever be the first to run around the corner, and try to steal their kills. More importantly, if you don't have a void subclass, STILL USE YOUR ABILITIES. Grenades and supers won't count towards your bounty if this is the case, but it will keep you alive or weaken enemies for you to finish them off with your void weapons. Dont be afraid to run away and hide. Don't be afraid to quit if you are getting slaughtered in a game. Stick with it, youll get there. The bare minimum KD you need to make progress each game is a .5 KD

i used my void judgement and became a shotgun asshole only took me about two hours to finish that part

If I can do it then anyone can. Keep at it. Take your time. Void fusion rifle was the best for me.

5 RisposteYou can complete the bounty. Don't give up. I got thru it and I rarely play Crucible. All you need is a consistent K/D ratio of 0.4 or higher using only void weapons and void subclass. It's actually easier to do now(I got my Thorn in November). Remember assist count also. GOOD LUCK

I suck in crucible and it wasnt as hard as your making it seem. It helps if you have all void load out. My advice is spam shotgun or fusion rifle like every one else in the crucible.

2 RisposteI got it on my titan so I used my magnetic grenades, bubble with blessing of light, a void fusion rifle, and Truth, it still took me awhile but I persevered and eventually got it. The sticky grenade helped a lot because the target often ran towards an ally!

It's 500 points not kills. Pretty sure that a .5 KDR still puts you positive.

I did this on my hunter with no void supers or grenades, even then it shouldn't take weeks, a few hours at most of you have reasonable guns

1 RispondiMe and my sons all did it. My 10 yr Old did it the quickest, about 6 hrs gametime. The crucible part isnt as hard as it seems

Took me 3-4 hours using my fully unleveled "the crash" from FWC. And that's only because I'm bad at crucible.

In my opinion the crucible part was easy. 4-5 matches and I had it completed. Both times I got the bounty. I ran corrective measures, antheions epilogue and a void shotty. It was pretty easy for me. It should stay part of the bounty, it is a exotic they are not supposed to be easy to obtain.
