I do not understand why.
I mean seriously, there are many, many different handcannons that are better now after TDB.
I'm so tired of seeing it being used, it doesn't have an advantage on any part of the game.
Arc Nightfall: News Flash, the Fang one shots EVERYTHING in the nightfall, except for the obvious majors and what not.
The Abyss: News Flash: The Icebreaker is 10 times better, don't believe me? Try it. You can explode so many thrall at a time that is can almost freeze your game.
Just so everyone knows, I am not hating on the Legendary Fatebringer, I just feel like people are over using the thing.
If there is a situation where the fatebringer is better than another TDB weapon, please tell me.
Edit: Okay so I have learned that not one Fatebringer user even looks at the "300." I was not aware that there was that little of a difference between 300 and 331.
Edit 2: I should make it clear that I do have a Fatebringer. I have had one in my vault for months collecting dust ever since I grabbed my 2 Red Hand IXs .
Edit 3: Wow, this is extremely entertaining.
Edit 4: I am repeating Edit 2. I own a Fatebringer. Please read entire post so you don't look stupid like over 100+ replies so far lol...
Edit 5: Wasn't aware of the very minimal damage difference between 300 and 331. Good to kno!
Edit 6: Obviously I should have went about this post in a very different manner. I was very simply just pointing out any weapons I thought might have been better, I didn't do my homework on the weapon like I should have. I wasn't aware of the damage differences between 331 weapons. For the minute amount of people that read this final edit, I am standing corrected, Fatebringer is just as good as 331 weapons. If not better (not to me, but enough people have convinced me it is, to each their own right!)

"I don't always use hand cannons, but when I do, I use a Fatebringer"
-
If you still use Fatebringer... then you might be a red neck
-
The word here is "situational" I love Fatebringer for VoG, it's all I really use it for lately, oh and arc burn nightfalls before Dark Below dropped this hand cannon was the hand cannon to have, I still hear players wanting it when playing VoG it's more of a collectors item these days
-
Because of perks it doesn't matter if its not 331 there's some super shitty hand cannons out there
-
I use thunderlord in the abyss, so I can't run icebreaker. Fatebringer, swordbreaker, thunderlord.

Modificato da Murcee: 3/19/2015 2:48:22 PMNobody reads posts in their entirety. They saw your thread title, read up to "I don't understand why", then omitted everything else you had to say, assumed you didn't have one, and away they went. I was never a fan of it to begin with. I almost exclusively use scout rifles in PvE, and there are better hand cannons for PvP. Fang is leaps and bounds ahead of it for arc Nightfalls, and in the Abyss I barely turn and kill anything, but that's coming from a Hunter who uses MIDA to run it, so I probably don't have a leg to stand on in that debate.

HoW will make it way toooo obsolete don't worry and I enjoy fatebringer a lot

People use Fatebringer because
Michael Bay
..have u seen the video in which legend himself soloes crota and uses fatebringer as primary..its firefly and arc damage..u must be a special kind of idiot to use red-watever cannon instead of fatebringer

Well it's not as good as 331 weapons in Crota. Weapon attack is odd, the first two numbers indicate the highest level monster it can be used on with full damage. Therefore, FateBringer is only capable of full damage on level 30 monsters and below, so if you had a handcannon with the same impact but 331 rating, it would hit harder on lvl 31-33 monsters. So while it is still effective in Crota HM, it's not AS powerful as a HC with current 331. Speaking for myself here, it's my favorite for several reasons, Arc is my favorite element, HC's are my weapon of choice, this HC has good impact, huge clips, shoots blue bullets of sexiness, is more rare then an exotic (I use this loosely because although a lot of people have it, there are still a lot trying to get it, since it's RNG of the VoG raid) and last but not least, the only HC with firefly. I never liked scout rifles, and HC's are head magnets.

FB shoots that knight through the wall on Omnigold

Maybe everyone uses fatebringer because they can't get any luck from rngesus!

1 RispondiI'm here for the million of edits you made.
-
It is my favorite hand cannon in the game. I have it fully leveled on 2 characters. I can't speak to damage differential or anything else. I can only say I love the sound it makes, I love what it does to arc-shielded foes, love the clip size and love (more than anything) clearing out a group of trash mobs with firefly. I have a lot of primary weapons that I juggle around. I don't always use it (probably don't use it enough) but it will never be put in storage. I will always carry it around no matter what happens going forward. You can have my fatebringer when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers.

3 Rispostelol at this post. The only place where 331 weapons even have an advantage is in the raids and specifically hard mode...anywhere else, fatebringer still outputs maximum damage. And in those raids, you'd want to use raid weapons anyways as that's what they're designed for lol perks i.e. hive disruptor or oracle disruptor. I'd like to see you use fang of ir yut to take down oracles (you'll succumb lol).
-
2 RisposteDon't retract your statement just because the majority didn't agree, it makes you look weak. I recently picked up praedeaths revenge and I use it in patrol or roc strikes for fun
-
Fang is great too, especially for distance or single target DPs. But I was still using fate bringer to clear that first room in the nightfall. It's simple math. Sure you do about 15% less damage than an arc 331 but if you factor in the splash damage from perks which also get the arc burn buff, it's very effective. It's also not a bad choice in any content with arc shielded enemies. The gun has held its value so well because of the Arc damage and the nice perks on it. I don't, use it all the time. So I see both sides of the argument definitely.

Modificato da Shelbi: 3/19/2015 11:51:15 AMSo.... Let other guardians use whatever weapon they so well please... I mean control what you can control and that is your weapon selection. There are guns I see others use and I think in my head "that gun suck, why are you using it!?!?!" but I keep it in my head.. Yes you have your right to an opinion, but your just going to be trolled because of it.

6 RisposteIf only I could get one...
-
Fatebringer destroys ultras in this week's nf.
-
The 300-331 are place holders! You could use 300 ghorns on crota and get the same results
-
The abyss on crota
-
1 RispondiFate bringer 2 shots noble shanks. But fang requires about half a clip. In the nightfall where a shank shreds your ass with arc burn. I would rather use a weapon to bring them down quickly not play peekaboo with them.
-
3 RisposteThis entire thread is proof that FB fanboys are some of the worst Destiny has to offer. I can't wait untill your favorite weapon is irrelevant. HoW can't come soon enough. So tired of seeing you FB dickriders shout everyone down.
-
I agree for the raid but not Nightfalls. They're still level 30.
