Why are guys afraid to be paired up with female players?
I see a lot of discussion on random threads and I think it's sad.... What's the deal?
Edit: Seems the feedback goes both ways. Interesting to say the least.

What's the deal with all these "female players" threads ? Does it matter if the guardian is a guy, gal or working joe ? As long as they do their part ingame, nothing else matters.

If anything, I thought guys practically begged for girls to be in their group.

I don't care if it's a guy or a girl so I wouldn't know.

I think some players are really kids and either have never played with female players before or try to attract them without ever knowing whether they are taken or without ever knowing anything about them, even what they look like.

Are guys afraid to be paired with girls? In my experience there are two extremes and fear isn't part of either. One, they think we suck because we are female and therefore do not want to play the game with us because they think we expect to be carried. Two, they want nothing more than to talk to a female and break their backs trying to carry us even when we do not want or expect it.

I try and avoid it for fear of sounding like an idiot. Rejection follows me with a vengeance. :(

2 RisposteIs it horrible that every raid i've been in with a girl. Some guy awkwardly flirts with while she is carried through the entire raid.

I have come across a few females on this game. And they are as good or better than most of the guys.

29 RisposteA study done a while back showed that in sports ( I think the study was focused on hockey mainly), teams made up of women actually executed better. They seem to be more team oriented and less focused on individual recognition. Now, seeing that gaming actually requires no athletic skill besides reaction time, i.e. I wouldn't say that there is any physical advantage over male gamers to female gamers. So, given two teams, one of men the other of women, who had the same training regimen (i.e put in the same amount of time on the game running roughly the same games), I would lay odds on the team of women coming out on top.

Last time i raided with a girl she took 45 minutes to do the jump puzzle as a -blam!-ing titan with fist of havoc she was lvl 29

i am not afraid to be paired up with a female, if they can hold their own. i think its rather opposite, 90% of my raids/nightfalls are with randoms from DestinyLFG and to encounter females has happened twice i think. But there is clan, it was community focus recently, which is female only. They're probably all there. Thats fine, raiding with a bunch of guys can be "intimidating". I do make allot of bad jokes but hey people laugh at em so...
