I understand random loot, but there is a point where I have to draw the line. When a single weapon segregates the bond between gaurdians, something is wrong. "HARD CROTA. 32 MUST HAVE GJALLARHORN" I have 3 characters, all 3 level 32, yet still am looked down at by my peers for one reason... No Gjallarhorn... I have dedicated hundreds of hours doing weekly heroic, nightfall, 26 vog, hard vog, 30 crota, hard crota, maxing marks on roc strikes, ON 3 CHARACTERS. Xur can sell the ice breaker 4 times, and no land beyond 4 times, and dragons breath 3 times, why not throw gjally in there? I am a completionist when it comes to rpgs, but have had no progress in 4 weeks. So here's what I say. If I don't have a gjallarhorn by the time xur leaves this week, I will simply uninstall Destiny and turn my back on Bungie. Noone wants to address this broken dynamic, so to hell with it... consider this my petition. EDIT: For the record, I never said I wasn't able to kill crota. In fact, I noted that I run crota 3 times on norm and 3 times on hard most weeks. I'd like to say thanks to the few people that read the whole message before posting. Its unfortunate that I had to sift through so much negative feedback to read your messages. I think I'll take some of the advice below and just put Destiny down till the expansion. Ghorn is really the only thing I have left to get. I enjoy the gameplay, but I've been doing the same grinding. After months of shards, energy, shards, class items, shards, NLBs, shards, and dupes of guns I already have, I'm just losing interest. I don't need ghorn for crota, I run crota for ghorn. And I haven't had any decent drops in weeks. Sick of wasting my time on Destiny. EDIT: If I leave my strange coins and motes in the vault and wipe all 3 characters, the content of the vault should remain intact, right? At least if I did that I might get some enjoyment in finding those dupes again. The gameplay is awesome in Destiny but the item system has gone stale.
