Is Destiny dying?
Be honest, don't troll this is a realistic concern and I want everyone's honest opinion. My friends never log on anymore it's really starting to concern me.
P.S. Everyone here has contributed in some way or another. Thanks to all who have voted and posted their opinion so far it really matters. Hopefully the gaming industry doesn't become what we all fear (into Activision) by selling a triple A title for 60 and chopping it up into pieces for 20 each later for profit. But sadly from what we've all seen its happening with Battlefield (I would of mentioned call of duty, but we all know who the publisher for that series is... They killed the cod series and that's what they are doing with Destiny.) with them baiting you to buy their premiums or map packs rather then giving it all for 60. And I am sure it will keep happening from now on with major games, the gaming industry has turned into what seems to be a corporate greedy world. It's just sad, and it's only going to get worse.

I've played since mid-October. I think the game is dying, I used to have around 20 or more friends playing at one time. Now I only have 1, and he only plays on the reset and on Saturday. I also have another friend that only logs on when my other friend and I do. If Bungie fumbles House of Wolves, I fear Destiny won't last another year, let alone until Comet comes out.

i hope they get the hint really like the game but sick of the same old grind most of my friends dont play anymore and that makes me not play as much as well

32 RisposteIt's a content issue. We have exhausted the content. HoW needs to be quest based because another 3 story missions and 1 strike ain't gonna cut it. We will play, but if I'm being honest, I got burnt out on Crota and had to take a break. It's sad cause I really love this game. Just need more.... Usually when I really like a game I'll play thru the story again, but that's not gonna work here cause the story sucks. GET HoW RIGHT BUNGIE!

even a game with as much content as world of warcraft has millions and millions just drop from the player base between this kind of period. At this point, most vets of destiny have gotten the majority of what they wanted and are either just grinding to grind or get faction stuff. WOW has been out for 12 years and people have been predicting its death for 9 years. Dont worry its a break and in fact their registered players have gone up by 1 million in the past month which means that the game is still being experienced by new players during a period where most players have what they want. So dont worry the game wont die especially after HOW and the possibility of an expansion the size of the game coming out in fall.

The lack of new and dynamic content, over a long period of time, is causing the Destiny crowd to search for greener pastures elsewhere. The only thing that is keeping this game going is a poor gaming season overall. Destiny captivated a huge audience, no other game out right now can effectively entertain such a big group. Sure there have been games like Dying Light and Bloodborne who were able to peck off target groups away from Destiny, but even today, Destiny is still the juggernaut on the block.

Its getting some major blows to its, both self inflicted and delt by other games. Boarderlands knocked 80% of my friends off destiny. Then HoW plans to possible knock them off permantly along with myself. A few things need to happen to get them on track again. First, give us actually set dates for updates and expansion releases Second, add in a lot more content, and dont just lock people out from not having it. Third, continue our story in the game, its like when the first dlc came out our story ended. Lastly expand pvp, allow private games, and keep all modes open.

12 RisposteObviously the majority doesn't know exactly if a game will die because 1. Destiny is still the 1# most played game right now and 2. Everyone that says yes are just bad at the game and haven't played it long enough to know for sure. Seriously explain to me how a game with 3.2 million people playing it everyday dying? Where's the logic?

3 RisposteYeah it's dying why else would we get these fixes or Deej finally letting us know what is going on. They saw the ship sinking and are trying to damage control. I like the game but if HoW fails I am out. I'll trade in my copy and won't look back.

I didn't even want this game, it came in a bundle with my PS4, also I hadn't heard the hype and knew very little about it. After I first played I was hooked, it was the first game since the original resident evil that I took a day off work just to play. That being said I am growing tired of the grind. I've almost reached my objective of getting every exotic weapon and beyond that, I don't think I will be bothered playing as frequently as I have. There has been a noticeable drop in people playing, including the core group of players I usually run with which is a shame. I agree with most that it is mostly about content. What is available to us now is stale and there is, if rumor is correct, at least another month and a half to go before there is anything new released. From what I've read the HOW content will be minimal and most likely underwhelming in the fact that most players will roll the the entire expansion missions in a day, if it's the same as the dark below. The last expansion came at a golden time, most people had not yet experienced all the was on offer and then there was a big influx of Chistmas noobs. Now only 3.5 months later even most of the Christmas crowd are probably maxed out and waiting for something new. If Bungie deliver the same volume of content in the next expansion and think most people will play it for 4 months to get 2 levels higher, I fear even more people will jump off the merry-go-round, myself included and that is kinda sad.

1 RispondiI reckon by December Bungie will have some insanely serious competition. Microsoft and Sony will have exclusives coming out then, and Comet will also most likely be out already. Not to mention their lead gameplay designer just shot over to Bethesda.

For noobs no. For people who have hit the wall yes . There is definately a point in which there literally nothing left to accomplish . Sure you can do more endless bounties, more raids that you've done many times before. But really the content is capped . I have 40 people or so on my friendslist, and they have all stopped playing . it is just not as fun to to the same exact thing over and over

I'm absolutely disgusted with what they did to this game weapon wise. The raid weapon I tried so hard to get (vex) is now completely useless and loses out to guns like hardlight and Monte carlo. Not to mention the iron banner shotgun is practically a sniper rifle. Pulse rifles are insane now. The connection is absolute garbage, loot drop and leveling through armor system is the worst part. This game has made me not even want to turn on my ps4 honestly.

They need to turn there 10 year plan into a 2 year plan, love the game but the new content and stuff that keeps you coming back just isn't there.
