Be honest, don't troll this is a realistic concern and I want everyone's honest opinion. My friends never log on anymore it's really starting to concern me.
P.S. Everyone here has contributed in some way or another. Thanks to all who have voted and posted their opinion so far it really matters. Hopefully the gaming industry doesn't become what we all fear (into Activision) by selling a triple A title for 60 and chopping it up into pieces for 20 each later for profit. But sadly from what we've all seen its happening with Battlefield (I would of mentioned call of duty, but we all know who the publisher for that series is... They killed the cod series and that's what they are doing with Destiny.) with them baiting you to buy their premiums or map packs rather then giving it all for 60. And I am sure it will keep happening from now on with major games, the gaming industry has turned into what seems to be a corporate greedy world. It's just sad, and it's only going to get worse.

17 RisposteThis is at best going to be a personal opinion. Games come, games go. This will be no different. Ask me if I believe they'll ever survive their proposed 10-year plan, and I would say no way. They've shown me nothing in their development that suggests they have any idea what direction they want to take, other than the quick money grab. With no long-term view (other than making more money), they can't make it. Right now the game is in the process of turning hard on its heel toward PvP. This will leave it nothing to distinguish itself from older, more established PvP games. Rather than be different, it has joined the herd, and in that way is finding itself playing catch up. I bought the game based on the commercials that touted a huge world you could explore, play the way I want. Agree or disagree that's what they advertised. If I misunderstood, it's because they were vague, and it was intentional. Look at Deej's weekly posts. 800 words to say basically nothing you can use. Hints, winks, and attitude. In food analogy, you get bun, tomato, and cheese, but no burger. At first you take this like they have a plan and are teasing us with the slow peeling of layers. After a while you understand they are just making it up as they go along.

We're all dying!
-
I don't think it's dying...yes it is in a rough patch but there is hope for the franchise...there was a lot of promises made that Bungie tried to deliver on but it seems that they just missed the mark every time...don't fault them for this...Instead support them...there is hope (at least in my mind and heart) that they will make a sequel and be closer to the game we all hoped for...when I play Destiny I see a lot of potential for a truly revolutionary game...all it needs is a little push and support from fans...please don't give up on this game...I have faith that Bungie has a plan in place for redeeming this game and turning it into a franchise to rival the greats...

After the last update I change my answer to yes
-
Yes it is dying sadly.
-
It's dead and long may it rot.
-
Like everything else, destiny is dying. We all crave new experiences, if destiny cannot give us them we will go elsewhere. This is inevitable and should not reflect negatively on what us an excellent game for newcomers.
-
Lots of good feedback.

I would have to say yes it is. I was sick of this game 8 hrs into it after completing the story mode. The only reason I kept playing was for the loot. Now that I have every exotic The game even feels more empty than it did before. Bungie did an excellent job at exploiting people's addictive personalities by using the RNG loot system. The only fun thing in the game is the raids and they get old fast. Crucible is so broken in so many ways. Lag, improper matchmaking, dull and boring maps. Crazy how it's 2015 and this is the best they could come up with?? And to Bungie; if your reading this most of your players and fans aren't happy. When half the people buy HOW than they were anticipating it'll be a wake up call.

3 RisposteModificato da HolyTrollin: 4/9/2015 2:54:11 AMIf it isn't, I hope it will be soon. It will be a well-deserved fate for the outright misrepresentations and falsehoods that were used to pump preorder sales. Rant Mode: Engaged Target: Locked Commence firing.... Deep customization? NOPE. Huge, open worlds? NOPE. Something new to do everyday? NOPE. A world that people will want to come back to? NOPE. Free daily updates? NOPE. A story that could stand beside LOTR? hahahahHAaaAAAAaaa.....NOPE For a game that was advertised as a "next generation FPS", there is absolutely nothing next-gen about Destiny. The management of it has been even worse, if it could be believed. PR Spin since the very start. Zero substance. All sizzle and no steak. The good thing is that people are waking up to the fact that this game is a sham perpetuated on gaming consumers. Some took longer than others; but you can only pretend for so long before having to acknowledge that the proverbial Emperor is naked in the street. With every true next-gen title launched, another nail is driven into Destiny's coffin. Edit: I highly recommend Dragon Age: Inquisition. Its the level and caliber of game that Destiny could only advertise itself to be.

1 RispondiBungie. Why did you cut out all the content from the ORIGINAL version. The Dark Below was complete when this game came out they just wanted to see how us players reacted and I'm not going to lie it was a financial success. But why did you cut all these DLCs out of the original game to be sold separately the hell BUNGIE. You made a lot of profit off the actual RELEASE so why are you selling us BROKEN, GLITCHY content which will probably under go maintenance as soon as it gets out because of some 'code' error. P.S while your fixing that how about you think about how CRAP your story is, I think my 9 month old sister could make more better content (She wouldn't) by you know what I mean! Thank you for not replying to me BUNGIE like you don't reply to the other 100,000 users which provide suggestions far better than any of you creators could do.

3 Rispostepeople don't seem to realise that those on the forums and 3 maxed characters are the exception, not the rule. Just look at the trophy %. I think 8 out of 22 members in my clan have platinum, and it has become stagnant, but anything does with the amount of time you invest if you are a hxc gamer. Most gamers are not hxc and do not visit the forum, so this is a skewed poll to begin with. Games with 17 million players do not die so easily, especially with Activision backing them.

Modificato da GilgAmesh1957: 4/9/2015 9:24:01 AMDon't know if it's dying, surely is stagnating, for what i see most first hour players are gone, some will probably come back to peer at the next DLC,if they bought the season pass. What I see is a fleet of new players that due to TDB easy going way to grow up,are now from 27 to 32,with little or no Raid Experience, with low grimoire points, meaning that they do not explore,do not patrol do not exploit this game,so what they do? :-) If it was not for TDB we would now have a scarce population of high level and experienced players, because who started from beginning has now left due to constant going on and on and on doing the very same tediuos things, and TDB has ruined this game definitely.

Once HoW comes out many will come back. The game is just stale atm doing vog and crota over and over. I'm taking an extended break until additional content is released. Destiny has fun gameplay but horrible longevity for me.

Op "corporate greedy world" ? REALLY. Do you work for free? Do you create jobs? Are you indebted to stockholders for giving you capitol to build your business? Do you own a business that you sacrificed for to finally see the fruits of your labor come to fruition and not want what you have earned? If you answered yes, then by all means, use your own money, pay employees, insurance, taxes, etc. and build a better game or better anything and then give it away for free. You will go broke, but at least no one can call you a part of a "corporate greedy world".

Yep it fading fast. I believe Bungie have been hugely anti player and have put in place DLC polices that have alienated many players. Hubris. Bellevue Bungie are 4 times bigger than Kirkland Bungie but seem to have lost the magic that makes good games and replaced it with mean spirited polices .

Out of 30 something friends who were loged in every day about 4 still play and even less have the dark below if how is as much a let down as this I think it may be time to change game witch is a shame as I think this game could have been amazing
-
After a months break from the game I resumed playing on Monday. Out of 10 pages of friends, NOT ONE WAS PLAYING DESTINY.
-
I notice it a lot this past month. Its getting harder to find a raid team. Doing ROC strikes takes longer to find teammates. No one on my friends list plays either.
-
NO ITS NOT!
its been dead
-
Yes it definitely is. In the recent past my list was filled with friends playing this game, but now its down to maybe 3 of my friends playing it. I still play. IM' hooked to PVP now that I have all the right weapons.

I can say that destiny has taken off and made hardcore gamers out of many who would be called hardcore normally. I have games with kids and older married couple (both are in their 50s, are amazing people and fun to play with). I believe that the game isn't dying but, is in fact just going through a depression. People burned themselves out. I bet a lot of people have played this game non stop since launch. LAUNCH. Over 200 days of gaming and logged tons of ours into this very game alone. I think it's just a slow season and people are waiting for something new. I believe queens wrath bounty will come back and will give tons of rewards for characters.....as well as all of the HoW content AND trials of Osiris. This will be enough competition and work to get us from May to...I say October. Especially if they keep churning out the patches as frequently as they have been AND can deliver on some needed things in house of wolves like A semi-interesting story (I don't expect perfect or even captivating....just something that shows they are trying.). And a bit of a change up in gameplay. I want to keep enjoying the game with my friends and I want to enjoy the time I spend with them.
-
I must sadly choose yes. I do not mind grind, but monotone style one is not quite what i wanted from this game. Hopefully another DLCs are near, because i feel this game like really stagnating. I do not know if that is decision of Bungie or publisher, but i can tell it is hurting the game and playerbase.

2 RisposteI've got money's worth. I play everyday but it's time for HOW to be released sooner than later. What I don't understand is, the DLC has been planned out more than a year ago. With a good business model you have deadlines so there isn't any procrastinating to get things done. I wonder why there wasn't a release date established by now. It's kind of baffling to me that they can advertise the DLC in September of last year, but can't set a release date until about a month before????
