Are us pve'ers ever going to get another option to get #thorn
I absolutely despise pvp but want thorn......I can never get my point total above 30. is there ever going to be another option to get thorn?

1 RispondiMy advice as someone who was in your position, get a void shotgun/sniper rifle or hunger of crota - find a corner - camp and shoot. Try to do crucible early in the day before the kids get on (they wreck your face).

Go to the cryptarch, if he sells green secondary engrams buy some and hope for a void shotgun or fusion rifle. Or you could check the gunsmith. From then, camp. Play something like control and camp. I know it sounds horrible but if you are trying really hard and you really want that thorn, try camping. I found a void shotty and was able to finish it around 1-2 hours

3 Risposteits so easy just use atheons epilogue, any void legendary (fusion/shotty/) and truth and your good i got it so fast, the hard part is beating xyor, its near impossible to solo it, and its hard to find ppl for that on lfg

Play careful. I suck at PvP and managed to get Thorn.

If you can't get it any other way, camp heavy with a void rocket launcher and fusion rifle. Control would be best imo. A void damage primary would help alot

1 RispondiDo you actually have to get kills or do assists count? If they do count get a shot on as many people as possibe and the rest of the team will do the work for you. Either way Atheons Epilogue,void fusion/sniper and corrective measure with field scout (100 rounds per mag) Try not to take risks and believe me if my 43 year okd ass can do it anyone can.

Two pieces of advice: either grab friends for Rumble who don't care about their K/D stats, or snag Atheon's Epilogue. That auto rifle, while weak, makes SUCH a huge difference. It helped me get that part of the bounty in 2 days, and I usually avoid Crucible like the plague.

I have a friend who gets a .5 KD or less on average every game but he got Thorn in about 2 hours. If you are really so incredibly terrible at crucible you can't do it, that's your problem. Sorry, but it's true. I hate crucible, but I finish it in about 3-4 games

You don't deserve one if you cant make 500 void kills

I hate PvP. I wanted thorn BAD. I sat my weak playing PvP ass down and grinded it out. It was worth it. When you think you can't do it, you won't do it. Suck it up buttercup and get that Thorn!

2 RisposteModificato da Blue: 2/28/2015 2:08:50 PMI'm not good at PvP, but with Praedyth's Revenge, Word of Crota, and Truth I completed the bounty in an hour. Edit: If you have already seen the last part of the bounty then you know that Summoning Pit's strike will be tougher than PvP.

I'm a PvE player and Thorn wasn't hard to get

Get a void sniper, get a truth, camp constantly at the back of the map and pick people off, acquire as much heavy as possible since truth basically gives you 4 free void kills.

I think for every kill you need three deaths to actually lose progress. So a .5 k/d ratio will eventually earn you a Thorn. If you can't manage that then you don't deserve the gun.

Lol. You could git gud m8. I've gotten 2 thorns and have every gun (except necro) from both raids. You need to learn how to play the game or stop expecting things to be handed to you.

Thorn is easy. Find a void sniper. Use corrective measure. Or truth. Get the word of crota. If you don't like pvp hang back, provide support. I've thanked many people who have stolen a kill from me because I shifted attention to a different threat an almost died from the first guy.

Took me a day but I did it. Also did the bad juju as well. I don't play PVP, but I found some clan mates who did and jumped in with them and actually had several games where I came in 2nd. Bad juj is aside cause you don't lose progress like thorn

I am not that good in the crucible and found it fairly easy. I did it in like 2hrs, been a while so don't remember how many matchs. Hopefully ur bladedancer is maxed out, because it helps. Get a void fusion and hmg and play control. That's what I did if u have other void weapons then ur good. Just chill and get kills that come ur way try not to take on multiple targets solo. Try toAvoid situations where u will be out manned. Maybe use void walker if that play style suites you better. Good luck hope u get it soon, I love my thorn gonna get a 2nd for my warlock whenever the bounty pops up again.

No. I'm a PvE player who'll play some Crucible as an occasional change of pace and I got the Thorn pretty easily. Use a void burn fusion rifle and camp spawn points in Control.

4 RisposteSOOOoooooooo from reading all the responses on this and other threads, the answer is: * Use weapons that are rare drops from raids that most people don't have the time or team members to do * Play using all of the annoying strategies that everyone hates, including camping doorways/zones/ammo drops, crouching, staying invisible while camping, using other people as bait, leave the game and find another if your team is losing or you aren't doing well, etc. Sounds legit. Sounds like a well designed bounty.
