After 30 crota raids completions and plenty of attempts i have found that there are a few universal truths to raid teams.
#1 warlocks are the class most likely to be killed in the final part of the raid. They may be good at cheesing other parts of the raid but serious raid teams should avoid bringing warlocks along.
#2 players below 32 are 82% more likely to be killed during the easiest parts of raid. Level 31s even with skill are also alot more of a liablity than inexperienced level 32s as the damage they recieve and lack of damage they dish out makes them a burden to the rest of the team
#3 level 31 or below warlocks should raise a red flag for serious teams. They are a cancer on the serious raid team and should be replaced.
#4 the more players on your team that have a gjallahorn the more likely you are to progress successfully through the raid. When creating a raid team players with the gjallahorn should always be prioritized to those without.
#5 although the above points may seem to be controversial they are the result of weeks and months of raiding with various lfg teams.
EDIT: #6 based on replies throughout this thread, most forum trolls are warlocks. I hope bungie gives warlock are more useful role in the upcoming raid so that they can spend less time trolling and more time gaming
NOTE: I have a 32 warlock and i like the class im not hating on warlocks im just stating that they dont bring anything noticable to a raid. Striker gunslinger and blade dancer can all make orbs just as well as any warlock. Hunters are useful for invisibility/sword running and titans ward or dawn is useful for defence. Self res isnt all that useful since you have just created oversoul and voidwalker cant exactly help by nova bombing crota

Change the name of this thread to "6 Reasons why I hate warlocks"

Can you give a good reason about warlocks not being useful... I'm a warlock whose also done a crap ton of raids both atheon and Crota. And like some of your points are wrong in my opinion.
-
6 Risposte....and then there was that warlock that solo'd hm Crota. Clearly locks are trash, right? -_-

3 RisposteModificato da lbox87: 2/27/2015 4:10:09 PMAfter over 50 crota raids completions I have found that there are a few universal truths to raid teams. 1. People like Razgriz1972 are a cancer on your team who judge by Class and Level and literally say skill doesn't matter compared to level.
Level 31s even with skill are also alot more of a liablity than inexperienced level 32s
2. While I agree that Warlocks serve no specific purpose on the Crota encounter, this in no way means the same as having no purpose at all. *side note, the fact that you think a bladedancer can generate as many orbs as a warlock, gunslinger, or striker is a testament to your lack of actual experience.* 3. A cohesive, competent team is far more important than any class, weapon, or level. I am not saying you should accept a level 30 with an unleveled blue machine gun, but that the most difficult raids I've had were because the people did not mesh well regardless of their class or weapons. 4. Most everyone should have a 331 rocket launcher leveled with them. No it does not have to be GHorn, no it does not have to be Tracking, no it does not have to have an additional volley of damage. Yes, these things make it easier, but see #3. 5. The only people that ever need to be kicked are those dying repeatedly, particularly in the same area or the same way and/or refuse to change their method/accept advice. This has nothing to do with class or level and everything to do with experience and maturity, again see #3. I have run with my fair share of lower levels through, and while their output may be lower and their received is higher, I would rather have an experienced 31 to an inexperienced 32. Regardless, I would accept both in the party and learn their play style before judging how well they are going to do. You sound impatient and immature. In one of my most recent raids, I taught someone to use the sword who had never even picked it up before, and lo and behold we cleared it in one attempt.

I've seen 32 warlocks run the sword and beat crota. You sound like a lil boy with a tiny dick
-
The downs is strong with this one
-
Did crota hard with 5 31s and a 32 sword bearer sooooooooo
-
No gun run crotas end. Look it up on youtube. You dont need weapons, you need teamwork. Lfg is a terrible place to find teamwork.
-
The only thing you have learned is Gjallarhorn makes up for a lack of skill.
-
3 RisposteTerrible troll attempt. All 5 points couldn't be more wrong if you tried.
-
1 RispondiOnly 30 raid completions and you think you have authority to make assumptions like this. There's people on here with much more experience than you. You knew you were going to get hate for this post and you did it anyways. You are in fact the troll.
-
I appreciate how easy you made it to find and mute you.
-
82% of this sounds like bullshit.
-
blade dancer can all make orbs just as well as any warlock.
Nope. Very much factually incorrect. Bladedancers tend to make about half as many orbs as the other subclasses.
voidwalker cant exactly help by nova bombing crota
Yeah, because that's how the other subclasses help, by using their super on Crota. Complete logic fail. I'm hoping this is bait.
-
Im a warlock swordbearer am i still useless?
-
stopped reading this after i sae you saying warlocks are the most likely to die i beat crota with my warlock as sword -blam!-ing holder ok?
-
Haha man this crap again? Seriously? Dude all that matters is that no one dies once you go out the door.... its not like you get more dps just because you are a hunter/titan/warlock.... Doesn't really matter what class you are as long as you know wtf you are doing. Ok... i admit that it is definitely easier if the sword bearer is a hunter but it is not necessary. I bring along 30s and 31s to hard crota all the time. As long as no one dies and know how to follow instructions tr hen it should be all good!

#scrub describes yourself
-
All of your points are horribly inaccurate....
-
#1 warlocks are the class most likely to be killed in the final part of the raid.
Why?
-
4 RisposteLOL @ strikers and blade dancers making more orbs than a sunsinger.
-
Haters gonna hate warlocks are the best
-
5 RisposteSuch a dumb post And whoever thinks hunters generate lots of orbs please . They don't
-
1 RispondiNo offense kid, but u ain't got nowhere near enough completions to go around spewing that warlocks are "cancer". Hunters are. I can't tell u how many times a hunter died at CROTA as the bearer cuz "my melee glitched yoooo" or some other bullshit. That's y I tend to never have a hunter bearer, unless i join a group. Can't really order them.
-
Such a stupid post. You make sweeping generalizations about classes as a whole. My raid team has a warlock running sword almost have the time. How can you blame a class whn it's the player behind the character that sucks? Warlocks are just as useful as any other class. Don't be a dumb dipshit.
-
Ive never seen a bladedancer make more orbs than a warlock, but i do feel very comfortable on my hunter when going invis
