After 30 crota raids completions and plenty of attempts i have found that there are a few universal truths to raid teams.
#1 warlocks are the class most likely to be killed in the final part of the raid. They may be good at cheesing other parts of the raid but serious raid teams should avoid bringing warlocks along.
#2 players below 32 are 82% more likely to be killed during the easiest parts of raid. Level 31s even with skill are also alot more of a liablity than inexperienced level 32s as the damage they recieve and lack of damage they dish out makes them a burden to the rest of the team
#3 level 31 or below warlocks should raise a red flag for serious teams. They are a cancer on the serious raid team and should be replaced.
#4 the more players on your team that have a gjallahorn the more likely you are to progress successfully through the raid. When creating a raid team players with the gjallahorn should always be prioritized to those without.
#5 although the above points may seem to be controversial they are the result of weeks and months of raiding with various lfg teams.
EDIT: #6 based on replies throughout this thread, most forum trolls are warlocks. I hope bungie gives warlock are more useful role in the upcoming raid so that they can spend less time trolling and more time gaming
NOTE: I have a 32 warlock and i like the class im not hating on warlocks im just stating that they dont bring anything noticable to a raid. Striker gunslinger and blade dancer can all make orbs just as well as any warlock. Hunters are useful for invisibility/sword running and titans ward or dawn is useful for defence. Self res isnt all that useful since you have just created oversoul and voidwalker cant exactly help by nova bombing crota

Here is a vid of me and a team of 5 level 30 and 1 warlock level 32 http://youtu.be/_aWkMDR4rzQ

3 RisposteBitch please hunters don't generate jackshit orbs and the only time they are needed is the Crota fight! Warlocks can either deal tons of damage to a crowd of enemies or generate tons of orbs. And btw locks can max out health and recovery so uzabitch
-
11 RisposteI went through with my level 28 warlock. None of the thing s you said about warlocks are true. I only died maybe 3 times due to wipes.
-
1 RispondiLol I mean you were kind of trashing warlocks but it doesn't matter. An experienced 31 warlock is a lot better than an inexperienced 32. I don't even know what your talking about. If the 32 runs out and gets killed right away or jumps somewhere too soon that's a lot worse than a 31 who knows what he is doing.
-
1 RispondiLol this is stupid
-
I was reading this and barfed.

14 RisposteModificato da PandaEatinHuman: 3/2/2015 3:46:18 AMWarlocks can easily max out their Armor and Recovery. Dumbass. Hunters can't do that. Not sure about Titan's though. It also matters who's on the F u c king controller you shit clustered corn chowder cock f u c k Not sure about titans thoe.
-
apotheosis veil equipped. and youl never die. well me anyways lol.
-
7 RisposteCrota end is a very easy raid even on level 33 It doesn't really matter if u have gjhorn Or even if all the team r warlocks In this entire raid even a full team of level 30 and 1 32 (as a sword) can complete it easily As any raid it's all about communication and listening to the leader
-
6 Risposte1. You only need 2 titans for ward of dawn to be fully successful. 2. You only need 1 hunter to run sword, they DO NOT make as many orbs as warlocks. Not even close. 3. Try to get sunsingers that use radiant skin instead of Fireborn. Also preferably with Light Beyond Nemesis, it's pretty common. They are orb factories.

2 RisposteUniversal Truth from one post: You're a douche.
-
Is this a troll post? I'm pretty sure this is a troll post....if not, lol
-
Don't get the hate on warlocks. Please explain

3 RisposteLegend Himself Soloed Crota on Hard with a Warlock
-
6 RisposteModificato da vFrostee: 2/28/2015 9:47:50 PMWarlocks are most likely to die? Can you base the likelihood of someone dying on their class? I would think the person holding the controller would be a bigger factor. Moron.
-
I think they're useful all the way up to crota they're def not needed for crota but they're not straight trash. I have all 3 at 32 and I think they all play a certain part and fit differently with everyone's play style.
-
Im lvl 32 warlock and always running sword for my clan when we kill crota hm and we have many completions....so your 1st point is bullshit
-
>Set Nova Bomb to Lance. >Use "Nova Bomb tracks enemies". >From the left or middle platform, launch the void at Crota. >Witness epicness
-
You either are not good yourself or have just had bad team luck. I joined a lfg group yesterday and we ran through the entire raid almost flawless with just one wipe on crota. Classes don't matter, player skill does.
-
1 Rispondi"Warlocks don't bring anything to the table" Except when sword bearer dies in the last run and a wipe happens. Warlocks just get right on back up. Oversoul isn't hard to destroy with some snipers shooting at it. (My first hard completion had warlock on sword, 1 gunslinger Hunter, 4 warlocks, 1 Titan, and I was a 31)
-
1 RispondiWarlocks are junk, and I have a 32 lock!!!
-
lol this is supposed to be funny/
-
Your opinion matters
-
1 Rispondi#7 don't listen to idiots on the forums that say warlocks suck.
-
A good mix of classes is a good raid team they all have a purpose, not one class is bad for a raid, bad players are bad for raids
