I was on the ROC strike playlist this afternoon for about 2 hours just getting engrams and vanguard marks,
On my third strike, the Devils lair, there was a "guardian" (I won't name and shame) who just sat there for the whole strike.
I reported him for being 'idle' when I reached the Devil Walker stage of the strike, and then at the end of the strike when it went to the rewards screen, as at that point he had 0 kills, 0 assists and did 0% amount of work.
I then went onto the next strike, The Devils Lair strike again, and yet again he was idle. Me and one other guy had been on the same team for the past 2 strikes, so I messaged him to report the "idle guardian" too, and he messaged back saying he had reported 3/4 times now.
3 strikes later, this guy was still idle, and was still reaping in the rewards of mine and this other guardians hard work.
Budgie really need to put in place some sort of system where idle players get kicked or sanctioned for staying idle too long. Like maybe if you don't move for 15 minutes you get kicked back to orbit?
What do you guys think? I've noticed it a lot on the ROC strike playlists - starting to get on my nerves...
P.s shout out to the other guardian Snowhusle who stayed with me for 10+ strikes and was a really good team mate, even with the other guy idle we managed to blast through the strikes no problemo (:
Edit - Just to say, me and the other guardian did join a fireteam and left the idle one behind, guess I should have just done it sooner...

Same thing happened to me as well. It's pure laziness and makes the game frustrating

3 RisposteSince the boss is always in a darkness zone, Bungie should make it that the only ones who get rewards are the players within the Darkness zone when the boss is downed. Then someone who stays at the start won't get anything.
-
When this happens with me and my buddy we just sit there next to the afk player until the either quit or get up and start playing
-
1 RispondiI used solar wind to sacrifice a idle guardian to the archon priest. It felt good.
-
Kill em with your sparrow

Modificato da erakis1: 2/23/2015 11:52:29 PMI think that in order to get rewards (including bounty completions) you have to kill a certain percentage of enemies and do a certain percentage of damage to bosses. I would also love to see a weekly sanction for chronic offenders. Going AFK for three strikes in a week locks you out of all strikes for the following week, including playlists, nightfalls and heroics. The sanction goes in effect at reset and lifts at the following reset.

Take the 5 minutes and push them to where enemies spawn lololololololol
-
go to orbit, find another. if everyone did this, afk would not exist afk players only hangout because some people run them through
-
2 RisposteAFC, if you're trying to use a keyboard on your console you're doing it wrong.
-
Sorry dude xD
-
I say that if 2 guardians select the kick option the other member that they both agree to kick gets kicked
-
Solar wind.

We should be able to see a User Rating for Guardians. If you join a strike with randoms you could see what User Rating they had and why. This would make the voting option more relevant and you would be able to leave early if you saw that you were matched with someone who is known to be "idle". Last night I reported a guy for being skilled, helpful and friendly. That made a great change.
-
Launch them off every single cliff with shoulder charge and kill them with every sparrow ever.
-
I always send them the same message Play the game you afk c unt! Never failed to work so far
-
2 RisposteWho cares. It's a video game. Roc strikes are easy. More fun solo or with two. Get over it and get on with your life.
-
1 RispondiI got a better one for you. We enter strike and do our thing. One of us goes down and I'm taking my time to revive the down player because hell is breaking loose around Omnigal. 3rd Player rushes in revives down player then runs back out of the room and hides behind the wall. I so wanted to take that person down. I mean if your going to hang out get in the game your a Lvl32 player for gods sake. I think the reviving and hiding made me more mad than anything.
-
I don't really mind if I'm running Fatebringer, it just gives me more things to blow up. But yeah, they should have their scrubby asses kicked
-
Just report and back out. Tell the other person to do the same so AFK person just sits there.
-
I leave and reroll the instance queue. Sucks for me but I'm not servicing an AFKer
-
Modificato da Doc SoCal: 2/23/2015 10:38:21 PMI don't spend a second worrying about it and just play. If you don't want randoms doing random crap, squad up.
-
Take a sparrow push him against the wall and ram him with RB or LB on your controller and he'll die eventually
-
Not a fix or solution, but i avoid most afkers by using level 25 or 26 armor. Afkers usually play as a high level where their help is not needed.
-
I stand in front of them and dance. While I dance I do other things like...walk the dog, eat, smoke.. you know. Then when I get back if they are still around I leave and start over.
-
4 RisposteI cant remember what game it was but I remember playing a game a while back where if you were afk for 5 minutes you would get booted, and if you got booted 5 times within 24 hours then you would get suspended from any game mode with matchmaking. It would start with like a 30 minute suspension and after you get that suspension it would only take 1 afk boot in the next day or two to get another suspension which would be longer and it would keep going on like that indefinitely.
-
I will generally finish the strike as long as it's only 1 person AFKing, if 2 are AFKing then I run to the first darkness zone and kill myself so we wipe and start at the beginning of the Darkness zone then I go to orbit
