"The Kid" deserves NO SYMPATHY
An open letter to all the enablers who are defending the cheater who got what he deserved:
PRE EDIT: it appears some don't know what this is all about. Here's a quick synopsis:
An asshole told a kid he could help him cheat and gain levels without working for it. The kid (who was streaming on Twitch) was like "cool. Ok". Kid announced that he is going to be using a glitch and was proud to be showing a cheat to his viewers. Kid allows the asshole remote access to kids PS4, asshole deletes kid's characters. Kid learns valuable lesson about cheating. And about trusting assholes. Asshole gains notoriety as huge asshole.

Once upon a time I was talked into stealing a candy bar. I was 11. I didn't even get out the front door. I got caught trying to conceal it, so I technically never stole it. I knew it was wrong, and I had to pay it back. I also got grounded. I also had to do volunteer work for the store ( mom made me pick up trash in the parking lot) twice a week for the whole summer.

Dude, this kid doesn't deserve free handouts. Screw him. He deserves exactly what he got. Just as I did when I stole the candy bar. This community is so full of God damned soft, touchy-feely, emotionally driven, hippy bitches it makes me sick. The kid needs to sack up and move on. And so should all you fake humanitarians. Quit enabling and reinforcing his bad behavior.
ADDENDUM: I agree that the guy who facilitated the kid's attempt to cheat is a major dickworm.

Why don't you act like an adult and realize the world isn't always black and white. When faced with two wrongs people go with the lesser of the two. If kirmit didn't do what he did all focus would have been on the kid trying to cheat. The very fact that kirmit brought it up to an 11 year old in the first place who is still learning about consequences to actions makes it entrapment on a whole other level. So he doesn't deserve our sympathy? Get real dude.

What if this kirmit had offered him Internet candy out of the back of his internet van?? Or offered him a hit out of his internet crack pipe?? This just shows that kids his age are too naïve to play online video games. And really...this kid is on twitch? He's 11. All of you are saying he is so young and innocent and yet here he is on the Internet live streaming. Ill admit i agree with you. All players these day need to go back to older games. These things happened a lot, games reseting or getting shut off. We didnt have auto save, we had to work for the ending. If we had to start over we just did it again but we got better. We did it faster we got more hidden stuff. It sucks but we learned that it wasnt the end of the world. He made a mistake, he knew better than to make said mistake, now its time to learn from it and move on. I dont support him getting rewarded for it.

It don't matter what the kids intentions were , he's still a 12 year old kid and it was a dlck move on Kirmits end, and I bet even tho the kid is 12 the last thing that will go tru the kids head is to screw you by deleting your guns/characters. You guys know the grind life on this game is ridiculous and you go ahesd and pull that off? Idk about you guys but karma is a bytch and it may not catch you specifically but it can to one of your family... Be smart I can sit here and throll people on the forums or cuzz out someone on the mic but going into someones account and doing what he did to that kid in my book deserves a console ban and possibly more because that's personal and is against CoC rules.

He let someone do this who he thought he could trust. The adult befriended him and tantalized him with stories of easy rewards, don't blame a child for not being a cynical cold human being who only see's cruelty in other humans. Kermit was the true monster in this scenario. Not only did he delete characters in this child's game but he also chipped away at this kids ability to trust and probably a little bit of his feelings towards humanity. Kermit is disgusting. Don't go spouting off about cheating or him being underage either, should everyone who ever cheesed a raid or nightfall have their characters deleted too? Did you never sneak off to a friends house to play games like Mortal Kombat when you were younger?

It's just a game.. Yeah, the kid got screwed and is probably a little bummed out about what happened but he also learn that he shouldn't be so gullible by trusting just anyone in this fμcked up world but he'll get over it. The people that keep crying about how he's just a boy or whatever, you're probably making it a bigger deal than it should be, so let it go.

Your comparison is different. Stealing vs using a glitch.... And even if he was cheating the punishment should not be what he got. This is a case of someone older taking advantage of this kid's innocence
