An open letter to all the enablers who are defending the cheater who got what he deserved:
PRE EDIT: it appears some don't know what this is all about. Here's a quick synopsis:
An asshole told a kid he could help him cheat and gain levels without working for it. The kid (who was streaming on Twitch) was like "cool. Ok". Kid announced that he is going to be using a glitch and was proud to be showing a cheat to his viewers. Kid allows the asshole remote access to kids PS4, asshole deletes kid's characters. Kid learns valuable lesson about cheating. And about trusting assholes. Asshole gains notoriety as huge asshole.
Dear Enablers,
Once upon a time I was talked into stealing a candy bar. I was 11. I didn't even get out the front door. I got caught trying to conceal it, so I technically never stole it. I knew it was wrong, and I had to pay it back. I also got grounded. I also had to do volunteer work for the store ( mom made me pick up trash in the parking lot) twice a week for the whole summer.
So please please please give me free stuff and treat me like I'm -blam!-ing Ghandi. Please hold my hand and tell the world it wasn't my fault, even though I know it really was!!!!

Dude, this kid doesn't deserve free handouts. Screw him. He deserves exactly what he got. Just as I did when I stole the candy bar. This community is so full of God damned soft, touchy-feely, emotionally driven, hippy bitches it makes me sick. The kid needs to sack up and move on. And so should all you fake humanitarians. Quit enabling and reinforcing his bad behavior.
ADDENDUM: I agree that the guy who facilitated the kid's attempt to cheat is a major dickworm.
EDIT: wow, heated discussion up in here. Thanks to everyone who's keeping it civil. And a big F you to the guy calling everyone a "narcissist " (look in the mirror, "Joaquin". Oh, and try looking up the definition before you embarrass yourself any further.)

Another person to report for starting a thread on an already dead topic.

194 RisposteModificato da Deadman Joaquin: 2/21/2015 12:41:48 AMWow. Yea your parents did a bang up job raising you. Stealing isn't the same as using a glitch. But I'm sure you've never ever used a glitch or exploit in any game ever cause your parents beat you senselessly every time you half assed your chores. He's an 11 yr old child. He's naive. He's learned his lesson. He should get 2 32's fully kitted out with any exotic & raid gear he wants. Because it's the right thing to do. If you have no heart because your parents raised you to be a narcissistic prick that's on you. It has nothing to do with politics but then again since this post is more about you than the actual incident im surprised I didn't hear more nuggets of wisdumb ( situationally misspelled ) about all the ways this affects you. Sit down. Shut up. Get a life and some empathy before you die alone, bitter & angry abandoned in an old folks home listening to Cats in the cradle on loop longingly waiting by the window for the headlights of a car that will never come.

I have to agree with this
fight me defenders of the cheater kid
Kid got what he deserved. Lesson learned. Though he learned the hard way. Learned this lesson a while ago with Diablo: LoD. Dick move from other guy, but sometimes it's the only way we learn... From assholes.
-
1 RispondiAgreed. Failed at cheating and given gifts... garbage
-
The kid got what was coming to him
-
1 Rispondiyou cheat you should be banned period. Its in the ToS yet no one enforces it. What's the point of following the ToS if it doesn't even matter and no one gets punished.
-
OMG, just let it die...

14 RisposteThe fundamental flaw in your argument is the fact that you have left out one small detail, the fact that the frog was an ADULT maliciously taking advantage of a CHILD for his own twisted entertainment. Had this occurred between 2 kids or 2 adults, both could be equally lambasted and everyone could take great pleasure in laughing at the situation. No matter what the circumstances be it 'real life' or 'just a video game' it is morally wrong for an ADULT to act in such a way. It is for that reason that a large portion of this community have defended this child irrespective of the child's intentions.

Wow! OP writes like -blam!-ing Shakespeare! Very well worded, I agree 100% May your legend be forged in fire!!!

3 RisposteModificato da SuperfineFire: 2/23/2015 3:05:43 PMAfter watching how he's bragging about this and what bungie is supposedly giving him, I agree. Kid hasn't learned a thing and it's a crying shame
-
1 RispondiI tend to agree with OP. Personal responsibility and consequences for ones actions are becoming a rare thing nowadays.
-
5 RisposteA few quick things 1. Twitch needs a requirement. No under 16s should be able to stream! 2. He was trying to cheat, he learnt a lesson. A very harsh way of learning it but it will make him a lot wiser. 3. This is a small thing that he will get over, it will not affect this whole life.
-
1 RispondiYou deserve no internet privileges. And please stop trying to compare glitching in a game to real life crimes. Get a grip on reality and get that stick out of your a$$. That's all
-
Why can't people let it go the past is on the past
-
13 RisposteYou guys are ass holes he's only 11 and we got a group of grown men flaming him lol what kind of shit is this. Imagine a 11 year old boy in the middle of a room crying and a group of grown ass men pointing and laughing. That's basically what this is. People on here are so high and mighty acting like they never used the Konami code. Foh. I just want people to take a step back and think of it that way. Guy smacks child's ice cream cone out of his hand and everyone laughs.
-
You people are pathetic. I don't give a crap if he is a soldier or not. that's not a automatic pass To be a asshole creep who picks on kids and plays with little kids online. and oh by the way hypocrite ' s this kid did nothing most of us haven't been doing since this game came out. which is cut corners get off your high horses and don't dare defend this piece of shit for what he did
-
Modificato da goldlemur33: 2/23/2015 2:12:48 PMI feel like people forget the days of runescape. I lost ~5 characters. Granted they weren't super high level, but it was pretty shitty logging in to find all your stuff is gone. People are dicks, get used to it.
-
He shouldn't be -blam!-ing streaming anyway if you ask me.
-
11 RisposteThus kid gets more attention than the injured soldier who put HIS LIFE on the line for USA over seas. The guy gets multiple surgeries and was talked about in these forums for maybe a day or two. But this kid is a bigger deal cause he wanted to cheat and gets more attention and rewarded. Something is wrong here.
-
1 RispondiSorry no excuse for adults bullying little kids online. Simply unacceptable you wouldn't dare do it in real life so don't do it online!
-
14 RisposteWhen you buy a video game you basically buy the right to play the game as you see fit. For those of us that have been gaming since the original Nintendo or even atari for some of us, there were no online updates or patches. You could "cheat" the game. Hell I remember playing SNES and going back and forth behind the goalies net in an NHL game till he got stuck on the post and left an empty net for a goal as a kid. There were CHEAT codes back then you could enter to manipulate the games. Does anyone else remember Gameshark? You hook a device to your system, enter codes and it altered the game. So should we all be deemed cheaters? I've yet to run into one player on destiny who hasn't loot caved, pushed the templar or atheon, lamp launched, or desponded thralls at the bridge at least once. You stole an item that WAS NOT PAID for. His copy of the game was paid for. I don't want to hear any terms or conditions crap either, he wasn't using a moded console. You are comparing apples to oranges imo and just sound like someone who's bitter about something that happened in the past that you actually deserved and want others to suffer as you did.
-
I completely understand you point of view but Kirmit was lying about the cheat so the kid would have never been able to do it. This means the kid was trying to do something that didn't exist so therefore the fault mostly lies on Kirmit because he took advantage of the kid and deleted his characters.
-
So, because someone proposed a cheat to the kid and was gonna do it for him that makes it ok to delete the kids stuff? Sounds like entrapment. But you say that is ok that Kermit did it. So if some guy in a strike tells you "hey I know this great spot to sneak into so we can cheese this strike" you should be punished for watching how he gets in the spot? Your whole post makes no sense. Kermit shouldn't have done what he did regardless. As for the kid. He was punished because he believed someone was gonna show him something. That doesn't make what Kermit did any better. You don't see undercover cops telling ppl they have a trick to make fast cash, then arrest them for prostitution when they want to hear how to make fast cash.

I lose all sympathy for the hes only a kid garbage when he's playing a M rated game, (ik it says teen, but I was asked if I was 17 at purchase) and streaming on twitch with a fake age.

The Kid is in 6th grade. 6th. Grade.
