Worst nightfall glitch ever!
Alright unfortunately the videos are saved on my friends xbox activity but I'll explain how we got trolled by Destiny last night.
My friend DOA Bane and I were doing the nightfall last night (Omnigul without burns) and we were at the array station, he had killed the final major and dies just as he killed him, I also go lightswitched by a stealth vandals a micro second after he fell.
Shitty deal... But wait.
Just as we get to the results screen, we get revived from the auto revive for completing the area! Yay!!!
Well, all we could hear was the death music from the results screen, no weapon fire, no enemy noises, just "death music"
So f*ck it, let's keep going!
We press on and eventually the death music stops, leaving us with no sound at all aside from the odd witch spawning her poison.
It had to be the hardest omnigul run ever not being able to hear her scream and summon her adds.
We took it extremely slow, took us like 2.5 hrs to complete as we had to play very cautiously because lightswitch and cursed thrall were a-holes.
Non the less, got it done! YAY!!! Finally!!
Went to the rewards screen..... NOTHING!!!
Neither of us got ANY rewards!
We were pissed to say the least, went to orbit, and it didn't even credit us for completing the nightfall, we didn't even get our xp buffs!!
Had to call it a night after that, it was quite the piss off.
Has this ever happened to you? Or any other situations where the game trolled the sh*t out of you?

This post isn't about the fact that we took 2.5 hrs. We are more than capable of completing this in a half hour just like all the rest of you. The fact that we had no sound and lightswitch was on is the reason we took so long.
Imagine not hearing thrall that can one shot you, or knights. Makes it extremely hard.
I think that de-buff should be added to the rotation, give it a try, it's scary!

Again this post wasn't made to discuss who can run a NF without volume faster, it's to make light of my glitch and other glitches that may prevent someone from waisting time for no rewards.
I'm surprised to hear how many people play without sound, I found it very challenging, props to people who do it all the time, not my idea of fun, lol

1 RispondiLol I play with not sound often. You have a radar for a reason bud. And thrall don't one shot with lightswitch, don't think it's a one shot even with arc and lightswitch.

1 RispondiIf you stayed logged in before the weekly reset and did not log out, it will still be registered as you having radiant light. My buddy did it on accident once, so after the reset log out and log back in than attempt nightfall.... Well to the best of my knowledge

3 RisposteI have heard of that happening to other people, they said that they still got the xp and the boost but no rewards and they did it a second time and got rewards and more xp!

11 RisposteThat glitch sucks. It's happened to me a couple of times, mainly on ROC strikes. Also, little to no sound for me, new baby and a light sleeping 2 year old make for quiet gaming.

1 RispondiI play all the time with no sound. It's tough to be in game chat and hear the game sounds with headphones and unless the house is empty nobody else wants to hear pew pew of the guns lol. It's a bit tougher but I rely on radar to help with the lack of sound. Tough call on the nf glitch. That sux. Way to persevere through adversity.

5 RisposteHad this happen to me too it was playing orbit music when we continued playing with all sounds the problem was one of us got error coded around the final part and tried to join back but it said something about fire team was matchmaking or something so nobody could join back. The other two people in the strike died but it wouldn't end and send them back to orbit since it technically already did…

1 RispondiSimilarly a friend and I were doing Valus tauruc and he died at Valus I ran over to revive him and got killed too, so as I was a warlock I rezzed and got the black screen like normal but then got kicked to orbit. ( I rezzed when countdown was on 5 sec, plenty of time.)

3 RisposteYes it happened to me on the Phogoth nightfall a few weeks ago. I cleared the wizard room and was running through the door and was two shotted by a boomer. I auto revived but only had the death music and no sound. Finished Phogoth and no reward.

1 RispondiHappened to me once on Phagoth. Killed him but we all died at the same time, got back in the strike w/o music, then no loot and no completion. I feel you.

8 RisposteFunny. Same thing happened to me and my crew #terrorsquad this week. We were like "why is the kicked to orbit screen music still playing in the background." But I was like at least we don't have to keep hearing the omni-b*tch scream so it's a good thing. Finished the strike. Trolled. Re-rack it and let's play 2. I successfully competed 4 nightfalls this week. I usually just try to do 3.
