This kid obviously isn't old/mature enough to be playing online games. If he is so naive that he would let somebody gain control of his account, then WALK AWAY he obviously doesn't know much about online safety and shouldn't be playing online. Hell this kid is so gullible he must be a pedophiles wet dream "Hey kid, I can give you a bunch of brand new fun games I just need to know where you live so i can bring them to you" "SURE THING MISTER STRANGER MAN THAT I DON'T KNOW!!"
Also everybody seems to be overlooking the fact that the kid was TRYING TO CHEAT!!! That was instant-Karma if you ask me, the cheater got cheated. It's like having sympathy for a damn criminal. "I know he was trying to rob the liquor store..but but (excuse excuse excuse) so the liquor store should give him the money he was trying to steal and free liquor!!!" Come the hell on people!!
So what can we take away from this?
A) If the kid was old enough to be playing games online he would understand basic online safety and not grant control of his account to a total stranger. He would still have all 3 characters.
B) If the kid wasn't trying to cheat his was through the levels, he would still have all 3 characters.

1 RispondiHonestly, I think the main fault falls on the kids parents for both letting him play a game he is to young for unsupervised, and doing do without teaching him basic online safety!
-
1 RispondiSomeone being logical on the destiny forums? What? Seriously though good deal man, I'm glad someone around here knows how to use their brain.
-
I agree with this post 1000000%

8 RisposteStupid Post - Especially the part about proper punishment for cheating.....everyone who plays this game cheeses....everyone.

3 RisposteFirst, I should say good job. Thanks for being a critical thinker. I wrote a similar post, and I will tell you You're likely going to get a lot of backlash from a lot of enablers who think you are the devil. You will be called a victim blamer and worse. That's because you are speaking waaaay too much logic in a sea of illogical idiots. People here largely don't believe in consequences. This is the den of entitled little bitches, and they viciously defend each others' tender little egos. Don't despair: your critical thinking will prevail over their emotional hypocrisy.

8 RisposteIf someone told you "We can glitch Crota where he stays down and it dea pawns enemies. All you have to do is shoot the floor, once oversoul spawns, kill yourself and exit destiny and it'll glitch him" Would you do it? Yes you would What if for some reason, that's a bug that deletes that character you tried to glitch with. That's what basically happened. We have all glitched something. Even loot cave was considered a glitch and we all did it.

9 RisposteKid was trying to cheat. Forum is full of people who pushed Atheon, Templar, their mothers, ect. I'm pretty sure everyone is a cheater but only a few are that level of asshole.

11 Rispostejust as a reminder to the destiny community! we all have cheated in this game ! secret spots during boss' fights ! etc just give the kid ...a one time pardon!
-
4 RisposteThe kid was naive yes, but his punishment did not fit the crime
-
5 RisposteHes a kid put yourself in his shoes how'd you feel if you could bypass all the grinding in destiny and "cheat" to buff up your characters you wouldn't do it? Get over this high horse please you probably support child abortion too

1 RispondiI'm surprised at the number of young kids playing on LIVE. My kids are 8 and 6, and I do NOT let them play on LIVE. My profile is the only one on our XBOX with access to LIVE, and it's password protected. I can't help but wonder how many parents really know what their kid are doing ,and how many just don't care.
-
7 RisposteHe want trying to cheat. He was pressured into letting a piece of trash mess with his game. We are not even sure if the kid believed Kermit could do what he claimed. This is a lesson that we all can learn from. Kermit needs to learn one too, hopefully we will find out who he is.

5 RisposteThe guy who deleted the kids stuff is a loser. He always has been and always will be. It's as simple as that.

5 RisposteI'm confused. Someone please explain...
-
1 RispondiLet me get this straight.....he gave his account to a random.... I have no words to discribe how dumb that is. Im not going to lie it sucks that he lost his crap, but i bet he isn't going to make the same mistake again. My verdict...... Too stupid for me to care.
-
1 RispondiWhy do you know so much about pedophiles wet dreams?
-
8 RisposteIt's not like the kid asked if Kermit knew how to cheat, he was lured into it. Kermit's Yt is full of this shit, cheating people like an immature fag who steals candy from babies. If anyone here was asked to cheese Crota, I'm sure a majority would do it. I'm also sure almost everyone here has cheesed in Destiny at least once, OP included.

Honestly, it's a good life lesson for the kid. How many of you let someone play with your toys and one or more ended up broken? Fast forward a few years.... How many of you went into a store with a "friend" who ended up shoplifting and getting caught and you got detained with him? Fast foreword a few more years.... How many of you were driving your car and had a friend in it, you get pulled over, and mysteriously there are drug dropped in your car? Yup, your friend tried to get out of drug possession charges and made you responsible for them. Be careful who you trust in life guardians.... Disclaimer: none of the above happened to me, however, I've seen it all happen through my life.

2 RisposteIt's ok guys, I got revenge for the kid.

12 RisposteWhy does your viewpoint completely exonerate the predator in this scenario?
