Just did VoG for the first time
It was incredible. Undoubtedly the most fun and intense thing I have done yet in this game. I know I sound like a noob, but i don't even care because I had so much fun doing the raid.
Not to mention I found Light of the Great Prism, Kabr's Wrath, and the Chatterwhite shader so I'm pretty happy for my Titan
EDIT: wow I can't believe all of the positivity in the comments. I definitely believe the forums need more awesome commenters like you guys. Eyes up, Guardians.
EDIT 2: 400+ comments!!! I'm so glad my little Vault adventure has sparked such a great response from the community. I absolutely love it when I see people who care on these forums. I love hearing your first VoG experiences, so keep on sharing your stories, Guardians!!!

Welcome to the fight Guardian. Wait until you get a Vision of Confluence, that gun will become a mainstay in your arsenal. Heck, only the Fang from Crota HM has been able to replacement, and not even fully in my eyes. Remember that hard mode has a bunch of tweaks that (initially) makes it live up to it's name. I would recommend you running the normal a few more times until you get the P's Revenge or VoC (or something on the higher level of VoG drops) before tackling hard mode. So much emphasis in on killing oracles in that raid, making the bonus damage is a huge boost. It's one of the few places in the game you really can benefit from 3 level 300 weapons. Unless you have IB or G-horn. Always use these weapons in VoG. :) And don't listen to everyone complaining about Crota's End. Like VoG, it has become business-like for me, personally, but it is still a fun raid. I still run it with many newbies and as long as people follow the lead of more experienced players (usually not me) there never is any major problems. There are even a few beneficial glitches (such as the double chalice that appears once in a while). Contact me (WARCOLONEL) if you're on XB1 and need some help or an extra party member, I'm usually trolling around the game many nights 8 - 12 eastern US. I'm no expert (still can't swordbear) but I'm usually willing to help.

I have never played anything like it in my life. Kudos to bungie for that. Its such a shame they have in the end let us down. None of my friends that i used to play destiny with every night are playing the game anymore and have moved on to other games. Got on last night to play and no one was on, so i just sat in orbit all night and ended up not even playing. Its such a shame this has happened to destiny. And dont get me wrong i love this game more then life itself. Lol. Jk but not really. Hopefully HOW pumps some much needed life back into this game and some people come back. 1 RispondiVault of glass was a beautiful design. You can tell they spent a lot of time designing it. When you first enter, it's like a huge underground mystery with all these little side paths and secrets. That's what people loved about it. It requires team work. I can't say the same about crotas end. It feels rushed and not as many mysteries. Until now, people are still looking for the hidden chest in the VOG. Can't say the same about scrotum end.

The Vault is a much better, well-developed experience conpared to Crota's End. Good for you, not skipping ahead of everything and doing the fun stuff.

I did my first run about a week ago and it was such a fantastic game. Even if I didn't get the rewards again I thought about going through it again on the same character.

VOG is a lot of fun! Happy to see you were able to find a group to run it with! I still enjoy VOG and don't mind helping people who haven't done it before or don't have a lot of experience.

Nice! VoG remains my favourite co op game play ever. Especially the Atheon fight at the end. Amazing stuff.
