Why do you play video games?
I have a stressful job and I find playing games therapeutic... What about you?

First I just enjoy them. Plain and simple it's just fun. Additionally, it allows me to escape and blow off stress without any consequences. I've got a wife, kids, career, and a mortgage, so I can't exactly be going out every weekend blowing money and getting blasted. Not that I would anymore, I'm too old for that stuff lol. I have a few friends that I play with all the time too. We live far apart, so it's a good way to stay connected.

Played games my entire life.....it is how I unwind after a day of work. Some people go to the bar and relax I go to the cosmodrome.

I am lucky that I don't have a stressful job "so far". But to me games are my escape and how I unwind at the end of the day. I am married with two kids and I play after everyone is in bed. I car pool, so I play my Vita or on my android phone when its not my turn to drive.

Because I like to lose my self in virtual reality. I like being immersed in shit that doesn't exist in real life. Great way to end a day, better when you can go on once your missus is taking a nap.

Cause it's fun and helps me keep in contact with friends I normally wouldn't.

I guess I play video games as an escape from reality, not that I'm depressed or anything. Im at that age where your finally mature but everyone still treats you like your three. Im tired of people treating me like I'm a toddler. The best thing is that I can do whatever I want to do. The feeling of freedom is awesome. Video games let me do what I want( and not making stupid decisions like the do in movies) and I prefer it over other forms of entertainment. I have played video games about all of my life. I grew up with a gamecube, got wii (gameboy too), than an xbox. Video games are just fun.
