So I’m a fan of achievements, I have over 100,000 Gamerscore. I’m also a fan of Destinys special live events though I feel they could use a bit more motivation. It just occurred to me today though that the Destiny isn’t utilizing the Xbox One’s timed achievement system. The system allows developers to add special timed achievements that can reward gamerscore and achievement images, or in game rewards for completing timed challenges. These are being utilized in many other games but Destiny provides a particularly great venue for it because of the Special live events. So here is what I propose: Add new achievements for the special live events. Such as Reach Rank 3 in the Iron banner between oct 7 - oct 14. If you complete it you get the achievement picture of Saladin in front of his Burning Disc. Make it worth like 25 points or something. I really hope you consider this moving forward.
