I finally grinded PvP and got thorn.
I actually used atheons epilogue for a vast majority of the kills and it only took 4 hours from bounty pick up to completion. This is one of the few weapons you really have to work hard to get.
Edit: thank you to everyone in allowing me a small victory, and ignoring my lack of crucible play time. I appreciate it guys and girls!
Edit 2: to everyone that is currently doing the bounty for the first time, or 3rd time. Keep pushing and you can do it! Good luck guardians, greatness awaits you!

5 RepliesI did this bounty 3 times before Dark Below, maxed all 3 Thorns, then upgraded all 3 to v2. Overall, i have maxed Thorn 5 times, working on number 6 I think something's wrong with me.

1 ReplyAfter getting slapped around using the epilogue, I just started doing combined arms for big maps and stayed back to snipe with Praedeths revenge and became a heavy ammo whore. It was worth it. Thorn is amazing, and this is coming from a hawkmoon fanatic. Welcome to the club

Nice! Thorn was the first exotic I ever got shortly after the game was released. I'm very happy that I chose the right bounty for it!! Hopefully you enjoy it as much as I did. It's still one of my favorite weapons :]

Love all the how did it take you so long replies. Some of us are not so good at crucible. I tried atheons took a clip to kill someone. Ive had better luck with a void shotty. Still not done yet. Im 47 and blind in 1 eye so I see a lot of crucible grinding in my future with my sub par k/d

The xyor part of the bounty is a nice challenge if you try to do it without hiding in the doorway waiting for the shrieker to despawn I think its the only exotic bounty with a nice personal strike to complete
