NERF THE GJALLAHORN!!!
Bungie you need to take note, this rocket launcher NEEDS a nerf... It Destroys everything it meets, and obviously a rocket launcher should do high damage!! But come on?? [b]The Gjallarhorn makes Destiny easy mode[/b]... No weapon should be like this, it really does need to be brought down to the level of other "exotic" rocket launchers!!
All these nerf posts about Gjallarhorn, does this not tell you something??

REMOVE THE TRACKING, AND KEEP THE WOLF PACK!
Having both of these perks makes this weapon need ZERO skill to kill[/spoiler]
EDIT - I am not mad! I have also owned the Gjallarhorn but chosen not to use it because of its power!! Hell I even use Universal Remote in PvE strikes for that extra challenge because they're so mind numbingly boring!! [b]No rocket launcher should bring a raid bosses shield down in two hits!! END OF!![/b]
EDIT 2 - Looks like I'm pissing a few people off, but my view of this weapon still stands!! [b]I will not change it until something is done to change this weapon to be more inline with OTHER EXOTICS[/b]!!!!

EXACTLY MY POINT, I suppose my intellect was a factor as to why I couldn't get more straight to the point, but this guy answered it!! The Gjallahorn makes EVERY OTHER exotic worthless pieces of shits, not worth equipping or upgrading, therefore they might as well not be in the game... Where is variety?? Oh that's right... The variety comes by using something else UNTIL you get this weapon :)

I don't want them to change the perks of it, just reduce the damage it outputs with Wolfpack rounds as it outclasses everything in regards to DPS in PvE by a mile. Sure, people will get angry that their Gjallarhorns no longer make the entire game a cakewalk in regards to bosses, but they'll scrape by and get used to using other things for once. If the Mythoclast killing in four-shots in PvP justified a nerf, then the Gjallarhorn being capable of killing Atheon in the first Time's Vengeance justifies a nerf as well. Both deal over-the-top damage.

3 Repliesuse the dragon breath if you feel bad about using ghorn And DAVO31 point was that most exotics under perform, gjallahorn is one of the few that is worthy of being an exotic. if you want to bring all exotics in line, ice breaker would need a nerf too

2 RepliesSure you use the universal remote for PVE bosses you've got the ice breaker equipped so having infinite ammo is ok but tracking and wolf pack rounds is op, You're an idiot! even if they did take tracking off as you suggested it will still have the same damage, Dumbest post of the year goes to you, go back to battlefield you stated you play it if that's were the challenge is Most people play this game because of the "op" weapons you imbecile

Ghorn is honestly only good for bosses with small critical zones like Brogoth. In PvE its a monster...as long as you have ammo. For nightfalls like the one this week the only time I used Ghorn was for omniderp because that strike is sooo annoying. I used icebreaker because of the ammo regen. Whats sad is that even icebreaker is fighting tough competition from Black Hammer. Black hammer frees up an exotic slot and doesn't take as much time to restore ammo as long as you can hit the face. As far as pvp goes I'd have to be stupid to use Ghorn. Truth is soooooo much better at the pvp rocket game. Better blast radius and early detenation? Yes plz! I'm not even gonna mention Thorn, TLW, the Vex or even invective. TLDR, Ghorn doesnt need a nerf. Relies very heavily on ammo synths. Better weapons for 90% of the situations in game.

You quoted some guy saying it'd be as useless as other exotics (this part about others being useless debatable). So instead of whining for a nerf and taking the easy way out. Why not scream and whine for other exotics to be made more useful?

I don't think Gjalla needs nerfing, you just need to close the gap by having other exotic weapons of similar quality. It would no longer be a must have uber weapon if there were 4-5 that could match it.

Oh man if you think the ghorn is op do I have a mob for you!! Go to where you get into resputins in patrol mode and try to kill that lvl 18 boomer knight with it. Without using an amo synth.

Dragonsbreath on the other hand .... I think it could use something like 'Ignites enemies caught in initial blast' Making it worthy of the name dragonsbreath and giving a DoT effect.
