This is a reality people. Do the research. Out of every million copies sold about 300, 000 customers aren't really satisfied. Look at all the thousands of user reviews left on any major site. That's why there's so many complaints. If things aren't made right Bungie stands to miss out on a lot of money in the future. There's a lot of issues that need ironed out quick.
*I'm basing this off of user-reviews across multiple sites. (metacritic.com, online retail, etc....) The sample size is greater than 5,000 and, IMO, more than sufficient to draw a conclusion about consumer satisfaction with the product.
**I didn't say I don't like the game. This isn't a complaint thread. I think it's ridiculous that nearly every complaint thread in this forum turns into a fanboi-troll fest aimed at the OP's and the people that agree with them. The number I provided is simply to inform the vehement defenders of the game that there's a truly significant portion of the player population that aren't happy.
It seems to me that most people think that there's only a very very small percentage of players that aren't happy. The numbers, here and all over the internet say otherwise.

Do you even math bro

1 Reply32.5% of statistics are made up on the spot. And 60% of the time, they're meaningful. Every time.

Edited by WILLtheKILLA5: 10/8/2014 5:58:46 PMSo only 30% are dissatisfied?
The numbers, here and all over the internet say otherwise.
Yes, because numbers from the internet are 100% right all the time./sarcasm

6 RepliesEdited by munkt0r: 10/8/2014 5:08:47 PMUser reviews are the most merit-less, inane, and completely arbitrary means of evaluating a product. (in the world of videogames)

1 ReplyLet's be real. People have complained about COD for years and still pick up the new copy every November. I'm sure they've done the same with halo and other games. Online complaints mean nothing. People are more likely to complain than praise given a public forum. That's how humanity works now unfortunately.
-
Those sites just post their own reviews... Show me the samples and where they were based etc. I.e was it all in one region or worldwide. And a game getting 7/10 doesn't mean 30% of players don't like it.
-
10 RepliesLets learn math. If your gomma complain do it right. 300k out of 1m. Reduce it down 3/1000. Welcome to the internet gtfo
-
So 3/10 dont like the game while 7/10 do... your point is invalid sir
-
Online reviews might not specifically reflect total population. If you'd want to be more accurate, you need to find out how many copies are sold, create a large enough sample size based off of that, and then conduct questionnaires.
-
2 Replies30%? lulz. I would love to see your work. Please post up your research, data, and analysis for peer review. It would not surprise me though if the number was actually closer to 10-15%.

I dont really care much the opinnion of other gamers. Basically couse many of them, if not all, are kids or teenagers that are part of the generation "please me now". If they dont have what they want the way they want, then is rotten garbage. BUT! I do go into youtube and search for ingame videos and Angry Joe's reviews.

Metacritic users scores is a flawed metric for this kind of conclusion.

I like destiny

A subjective numerical rating does not equate to user satisfaction. There is simply no quantitative analysis that proves that. If anything, there is some level of evidence to support the fact that "professional" reviews are not indicative of the populous, as a whole. The easiest example to use, would be RottenTomatoes. Just look at the differential in the current top box office. In nine out of ten cases, the audience liked the movie more highly than the critics. The one exception was BoxTrolls, which critics liked a whopping two percentage points more than the audience. I'm sorry, but a subjective review based on a significantly small number of web sites versus the number of people who have bought the game is a comparison that simply cannot be drawn.

2 RepliesYou literally made those figures up, this thread is worthless.

2 RepliesNo more than average buddy. Stop acting like this game has more negatives than any other game does.

1 ReplyThat's 300 out of 1000 (300/1000) also knows as 30% you putz, before you try to be a wise ass try not to be a moron.

How does one measure satisfaction though ? Would I say that I was 100% satisfied with Destiny ? No, I wouldn't. I was really expecting more from the story like everyone else. But ... Do I get value for money from the game ? Yes, Certainly Do I, for a minute, regret buying it ? No, definitely not Am I playing the game EVERY spare moment I have ? Yes, I am Am I going to buy the DLC etc ? Already came with the LE, but would buy it if it didn't But I am still "Dissatisfied" is you wish to call it that.

Sounds like every other piece of tech launched in the past decade. People want to complain and the internet gives them a very loud voice.
-
Here is the thing. Most people will complain when they have a gripe. But few people will speak up if they don't. Also, how many if those reviews are pretty much duplicates. This game has problems, but it is still a fun game and there isn't anything game breaking as far as I can see. It's not like CoD where you had horrible lag detection in BO2 (which broke the game) or ridiculously large maps that slowed down games in Ghosts (which broke the game early on). The only issue I can say that may be game breaking is the lack of way to communicate with randoms. But if you are always playing with friends, you don't notice it. And most of us do have a good amount of friends who play regularly enough that we don't notice it at all.
-
Soooooo who cares? I really don't understand these threads. Like, are you tying to convince us to stop playing with you...? If you don't like it don't play. We don't need to hear you bitch about how much you don't like it as well.
-
I could care less about 999,999 of those one million. I make up one, and my one is having fun with this diablo-esque FPS.

1 ReplyI've been too busy enjoying the game to give a review. I'm absolutely certain I am not the only one. You should probably put an asterisk next to your cute statistic there.
