This is a reality people. Do the research. Out of every million copies sold about 300, 000 customers aren't really satisfied. Look at all the thousands of user reviews left on any major site. That's why there's so many complaints. If things aren't made right Bungie stands to miss out on a lot of money in the future. There's a lot of issues that need ironed out quick.
*I'm basing this off of user-reviews across multiple sites. (metacritic.com, online retail, etc....) The sample size is greater than 5,000 and, IMO, more than sufficient to draw a conclusion about consumer satisfaction with the product.
**I didn't say I don't like the game. This isn't a complaint thread. I think it's ridiculous that nearly every complaint thread in this forum turns into a fanboi-troll fest aimed at the OP's and the people that agree with them. The number I provided is simply to inform the vehement defenders of the game that there's a truly significant portion of the player population that aren't happy.
It seems to me that most people think that there's only a very very small percentage of players that aren't happy. The numbers, here and all over the internet say otherwise.

7 Replies73% of all statistics are completely made up

So from 5k you rounded up and went ape shit and somehow ended up with 300k? Do you have actual statistics to back up your claim? Or are you in fact just "mad cuz bad".

2 RepliesDestiny is the best!!

Wtf man. Where did you get those numbers.

3 RepliesEdited by OLYMPUS VI: 10/10/2014 11:12:52 PMI hate my car, I can go get a new one but I'd rather bitch and complain about how much this one sucks - your logic

1 ReplyEdited by sau3rkraut: 10/10/2014 9:21:59 PMThere are a lot of people who aren't happy because everybody wants something different from the game. Even if I believe your un-cited statistics, they are irrelevant. If you don't like the game, don't play it. There are many people who didn't like the Halo games. There were many people who didn't like CoD. But there are a huge number of people who did like them. The game is not for everyone. People need to realize that Bungie is not going to dramatically change the game. If you don't enjoy it, then would you kindly stop clogging up the forums? I'm not complaining about all the games that I think didn't meet expectations or are or have fatal flaws. Your post is not constructive, and therefore I don't see why it shouldn't be labeled as a complaint. When I read it, I fealt you were simply trying to justify all of the people who are disapproving of Destiny. As evidence, you defend complaint threads by saying they are attacked by 'fanbois'. Most of the complaints I've heard about Destiny are either people whining about everything that doesn't go their way, or people wanting the game to be something it isn't (or both). I would look ridiculous if I want on a CoD forum and complained, "there should be shields in this game, it requires more skill to kill people with shields." If you do indeed like this game, please do me, you and everyone else a favor by not wasting our time with nonconstructive complaint posts. Just because you say this is not a complaint thread doesn't actually mean it isn't.

Not going to believe that statistic unless you provide actual proof.

1 ReplyYou don't appear to factor in that most of the people who really enjoy this game are busy playing it, they don't need to review because they like it. Only people who feel they were misled or really just dislike this game in general feel the need to speak out about it. Usually to anyone who will listen too.

7 Replies78% of statistics are made up on the spot. Thats alot when you consider only 1/10 people don't know how to use percentages and 4/10 people get there stats from other people that got 3/10 of there stats from inaccurate sites. So about 1000000% of people that rely on stats are wrong 90% of the time.
-
Yep, definitely should trust some random on the internet spouting random and un prove able "fact"
-
Edited by Tibbaryllis2: 10/10/2014 3:51:29 PMNever minding the fact that to post an online review doesn't require actual ownership of the game. Just ask all the PCmustard race who had Destiny under 5/10 before it was even available for retail. Bungie has the only numbers that matter: daily server loads.

7 RepliesEdited by CIeric: 10/8/2014 6:17:09 PMMetacritic score of 7/10 =/= 7/10 people dissatisfied. Besides, the other 3/10 already bought the game anyways so the money isn't lost. If you're referring to the Bungie contract with Activision about bonuses based on game reviews then I would bet money that the contract is being altered because Activision made Bungie butcher their polished product into what we see today. Activision funded a project with a specific plan that Bungie was to follow then sliced it up at the last minute. They honestly can't hold Bungie to their original contract if they stepped in to micro-manage everything. Also, you can't take a sample size of 5000 people for a game that sold MILLIONS of copies and call it conclusive evidence. That's like saying 2 of my 3 best friends love Mountain Dew therefore 66% of all people love Mtn Dew...

2 RepliesPossibly you are just pulling numbers out of your ass. They smell by the way you should really wash them first before posting.
-
2 RepliesI think more people are likely to voice their unhappiness . Happy consumers don't go online & say this game is great. They just get on with it. Those who feel slighted or aggrieved are going to kick up a fuss. Not sure that reflects the ratios quite as portrayed.
-
At this point the only reason I am sticking with Destiny is because I already paid for the DLC and I'm just praying they put something in this game to make it better. It has tons of potential but what we got at release just doesn't deliver at all. I'm already pretty bored of it and find myself only logging in to do the bounties each day, then logging out. I thought I would level up 2 more characters to try out all 3 classes like I did in the beta, but I have no desire to take two more characters through the boring ass story and get to level 20 just to re-grind gear sets for them.
-
I'm here with you OP. Though you're stats are a little off, the fact of the matter is that if there are that many people complaining about a game, then clearly there is something wrong. "Lol bad gamers are gonna hate all day." "Hurr durr the game is great you just suck." Since when does skill have anything to do with enjoyment? If anything, this game should prove otherwise for how /ridiculously/ easy it is to blow through the campaign and reach level 20, then how unbearably slow it is to get past 21. And for what? Maybe a legendary pair of boots every 500 matches on crucible? There's no substance to the game. Unless you bought a version that already came with the expansions (which by the way, you're already overpaying) there's no point to getting it.
-
I was disappointed, I won't buy the next game unless get add a bunch of new content, for free.
-
23 RepliesAll these people stating they don't care what OP has to say yet they get upset when they hear the game's a massive letdown for so many people… sure, the numbers are debatable but it's plain stupid to call others "moron" when they don't like the way this game turned out after Bungie's exaggerated advertisement and promises.
-
2 RepliesYou could've just said 30%, which is still a bullsh*t inflated number but yea, basic math.
-
Just beacause a user writes a review on metacritic doesn't mean they played the game.
-
6 RepliesThe reason so many disagree with you and the other complainers saying the same thing is that a 5000 person sample size is far from representative of the whole gaming community playing this game. And then you immediately escalate that up with some ridiculous asinine figure of 300k out of every million! Ya ok
-
2 RepliesWhat scientifically proven method is the basis of your assumption?
-
2 RepliesEdited by Yu Tai Mai Shu: 10/9/2014 2:03:55 PMThe biggest problem with your numbers is that the vast majority of people who enjoy something, don't go onto the internet to tell everybody why they enjoy something, they simply go on with their lives enjoying said purchase. However, when people are not satisfied with their purchases they are more likely to go onto the internet and let everybody know. It's just the nature of the internet.
