FALLEN VS ELITES
another good ol vs thread pitting a fallen captain armed with 2 shock swords against a sangheili ultra with two energy swords. the location is on an open field in old Russia
( sangheili ultras are the equivalent of captains and colonels in the covenant military and i thought it would be fitting to have a captain vs captain battle)

1 Replythis is my opinion on how the battle would play out, judging from the new fallen statue, the fallen are around 8 feet tall just like the elites. elites are probably stronger than the fallen however not as nimble because of this. that coupled with the fact that the fallen captain has an extra pair of arms makes him the better combatant in hand to hand overall. what makes the fallen loose in the end though is the elites shields, which are incredibly strong on high ranking members such as an ultra. to sum it all up, the elite ultra tries to close the distance, while the fallen captain nimbly attempts to run circles around his opponent hitting and running, while blocking or distracting the elite with his other set of arms. because of the shields on the elite however, the ultra is able to take a couple of these shots and dodges the next volley of attacks ultimately going in for the kill and stabbing the captain through the abdomen and ripping off his head. and they all lived happily ever after

The Fallen are cool and all, but Elites are bred as warriors since birth. Giving an Elite an energy sword, let alone two, is ultimately letting loose the dogs of war.
