Too many battlegrounds in the Vanguard Ops Playlist
Please adjust the tuning for how often battlegrounds appear in the vanguard ops playlist, the last 5 I've ran, 4 of them have been battlegrounds. Battlegrounds in general suck to play and the fact that one of the main game modes of this game have been basically overran by them sucks to play.
Edit: Additionally, just noticed that Heist Battlegrounds: Europa had a barrier champ in it... on normal vanguard ops... bungie, why?

3 RepliesBattlegrounds are why I completely stopped playing Vanguard list. I don’t enjoy them, they take forever, and I’ve seem more players bail on them than any other strike next to OG Exodus Crash. They do not belong in the Strike list

And I’m probably going crazy but why are the normal vanguard playlist activities hitting harder now? Did they also get changed to be a -5 under enemies cap?

1 ReplyThey want activities to take as long as possible to give the game a false sense of depth. D2 is not nearly as fun as it used to be imo.

I don't want to deal with champ when I'm leveling weapons or maybe trying new builds in my strikes. I've got plenty of other environments to prove their usefulness

Every time I load into either psi ops or battlegrounds I just leave and keep going till I get a strike. I don’t frequent that playlist to often either way

Battlegrounds are -blam!-. They should’ve died with that season. Unenjoyable pieces of trash with lucent hive BS bosses, imo

Remember in D1 when people chose to grind strikes and farm strike loot, plus we had well structured fun strikes like Sunless Cell and Shield Bros Now you get 1 strike for every 10 recycled seasonal assets, because that's cheaper for Bungie to do than actually make more than 1 strike a year Inb4 a certain Bungie -blam!- chimes in that Battlegrounds are strikes -
This is what happens when they add 3 battlegrounds every year but only 1 actual strike.

Since they flooded it with these battlegrounds, I avoid them.

Agreed. I can not stand battle grounds. Its like a obnoxious boring horde mode and to long. I said before it should be stripped out of strikes and in its own playlist. Thats Bungos way of tricking players making them think its a ton of content but a bunch of recycled content from past seasons.

I will leave a shitty battleground immediately. I do NOT care what streak I’m on. I’m NOT doing them.

For me I don’t like them because they’re way to long and usually (with an lfg team) last 30+ minutes. After the depreciation of adept big ones adepts are worthless in pve now. Only benefit they have is in pvp due to the stat bump mods and the extra perks to save on vault space. So no real point to going for them anymore imo

1 ReplyDefiant BGs are ok, I think. They should only tune down them if they will remain in the strike playlist. Having to deal with champions while in a team with new lights is a bit weird. Also, the mobs hit really hard there. All the heist ones can go to the trash.

I don’t mind them in Vanguard playlist. The rep gains are better.

i can tolerate battlegrounds in moderation... bc for some reason bungie has a set strike playlist each week, which is why it feels like your doing them over and over again becuase you literally are, id rather take battlegrounds any day of the week over exodus crash, hypernet, or corrupted. risen battlegrounds have been there best battlegrounds to date imo

I think the only reason people hate Battlegrounds is that they're designed to throttle "speed running" due to being a repurposed seasonal activity. The content of a Battleground is the same as any Strike and I refuse to believe people would rather run The Corrupted than any Battleground. As to Champions showing up in normal difficulty BG Strikes: I've noticed this, too, and on the same Europa BG. Both the Unstoppable right before the laser barrier tunnel and the Barrier inside the room with Clovis' fat head spawned for some reason.

That’s what happens when they get rid of strikes from vaulted expansions while adding filler battlegrounds from previous seasons. It’s also misleading that the director for the basic vanguard ops doesn’t mention that there’ll be champions for a modifier, at least from what I noticed.

There's a couple that are doable but they are a hard slog. Some I don't touch because they are no fun at all.

The spamming of medals and points on the screen is the most annoying thing. It's completely killed ritual activities for me.
