Dear Bungie,
I’ll be just honest here when I say that your synthweave transmog system is outdated and in need of change. Other games like Cyberpunk 2077 or Diablo IV offer free and immediate transmog to your armor as soon as you unlock the item; however, destiny makes you grind out bounties for only 10 synthweaves per character per season, so 30 total in a game where there is a total of 2511 armor to have as your own outfit. Why not make it so the “true endgame” of destiny could thrive! I know that you love fashion because of the whole #drowninthedrip trend you guys did. Why not allow it for more people to get creative with their ideas and make it one of two options: #1 offer more synthweaves per season or #2 MAKE TRANSMOG LIMITLESS AND FREE. No one wants to pay money either for those 1400 silver bundles for a measly 3 SYNTHWEAVES. It would be greatly appreciated to look into a change for this system.
Sincerely,
A concerned destiny player

2 RepliesPeople are missing your point, they're acting like you're whining when you're just stating a fact. Bungie is one of the greediest companies there is, you shouldn't have to have a limit on how many times you can change a piece of gear with an ornament. It's just another way for them to try to control their players
-
you want a normal transmog system youll find in just about every game on the market? from this small indie studio?
-
2 RepliesI am genuinely curious if locking transmog behind micro transactions has been profitable or not. And if it isn't, why do they insist on leaving it the way that it is.
-
8 RepliesEdited by Rogue: 9/13/2023 7:51:04 AMYou can wear one outfit at a time. Each season you can fully unlock two outfits on each class. Meaning you can make a full ornament outfit for 6 builds every 3 months. 24 full sets in a year, and I’m being generous and leaving out exotics. I really don’t see the issue personally. Edit: if you’re really so excessive with how many things you want to unlock and use, you are able to pay for it. I know that paying for things you want has been heavily stigmatised lately, but it’s a pretty solid practice.

30 RepliesTo inflate play time so they can feel better about their they/them selves.

6 RepliesIf it helps... Grab the raid/dungeon ones. They have ones like "create 100 orbs" or "defeat challenging enemies"... Simply load into Grasp for the 1st one, 5 minutes or less, complete. Load up Ghosts for the second, 5 minutes or less, done. Just 2 examples. There are ones that ask for encounter completions, but since glimmer is easy to come by, I delete those and cycle to ones like I mentioned above. In no time, you'll be swimming in synths.
-
3 RepliesHonestly, I find if I pick up a raid or vanguard one I just complete it without realizing. I like that you can just pick up one for whatever activity you enjoy doing but it’d be cool if they put one for seasonal activities since I’d like those to count. Same with the xenology bounty
-
1 ReplyYou should probably get the skin on dismantle like Diablo, but I'm more confused with the grindy nature of the bounties and the seasonal limit. Love to know how many people purchased the premium option.
-
4 RepliesImagine wanting all armor trasnmogged . I only transmog good looking armor.
-
Transmog is mid in the way it’s done but better to have it the go back to what we use to have before it of Jack nothing
-
Agreed!
-
Counterpoint: who cares?
-
12 RepliesFashion isn't the end game of destiny though lol. I get it and agree: once we get a piece of gear, it should unlock, but this is nothing to complain about nor say 'bad bungie'. Seriously, how many times do you actually change ornaments? I bet not that often. And definitely not often enough you need every piece of gear unlocked. This is complaining just to complain about something.

9 RepliesEdited by mikeyrox1234: 9/12/2023 9:29:55 PM“Grind out” bounties… those bounties take 5 minutes to complete. Edit: Yes… I am the greatest player in the world 😂 I will admit that what I originally said was rather dumb lol. I still hold the opinion that these bounties are very easy to complete. 99% of the time I forget that I even picked them up and already completed all 10.

"free" and Bungie in the same sentence lol, good one. They would monetize your electricity, internet connection and even your kids lunch money if they could. If you look for "greed" in a dictionary, you will find the word BUNGIE in all caps right there as a standalone description.
-
6 RepliesIf you think you have to unlock every single shitty armor piece in this game as an ornament. You deserve to have to pay for it.
-
AGREE!
-
1 ReplyLike the majority of the recent content, it's all centered around micro-transactions. They've done so much to try to have more to sell I really don't understand why the game is not free to play.
-
1 ReplyThey created it this way so you'll spend silver on the synth in the store. People complained when the system first came out. But Bungie has learned all they have to do is ignore it and players will move on and stop talking about it within a week, so they never change anything unless they start to lose players
-
1 ReplyThe whole game sucks
-
Because they don't know how to keep players other than turning everything into a grinding slog
-
10 RepliesGo play those then.
-
1 ReplyIt could probably get a little more bountiful with the synthweaves. There wasn't as much armor in the game when the loom came out so there wasn't as much reason to want more than 10 per character. Back then that seemed like plenty. The grind can probably be reduced or the number of synthweaves per bounty could be increased.

Greed + Hamster Wheel = Destiny 2 Transmog Bwahahahahahaha!!! Laughable Welcome to hollowness!
-
Jet Set WillyIt’s all going concording to plan 😂🤣 - old
Agreed. Obtaining an item should unlock the transmog for it. Making synthweaves a requirement is just typical of Bungie adding a feature people have been asking for but still managing to make using it a grind. -
4 RepliesOne, “Dear Bungie” never reaches their ears here. I’ll repeat myself in all of these hopeless posts people think this is a feedback forum. Two, transmog is in a fine spot since literally there are so many armor sets that don’t match anything, and shade awfully. A basic color pallet of shaders is something I’ll take over the lack of good armor pieces to wear. For instance there’s a lot of titan armor that doesn’t sit right on female titans, it feels/looks like kids clothing sometimes, or like an alright Halloween costume
