Weapon Focusing in Dares of Eternity
Its strange to me that, with one of the biggest loot pools in the game for the activity, Dares is one of the only activities at this point without weapon focusing. Farming for things like an autoloading holster riptide from crucible is largely possible because you can focus it with engrams, meanwhile in dares you cant focus anything, making farming specific red borders or old seasonal weapons like the ignition code an absolute pain because of how large the loot pool is. adding a tab to the starhorse that allows 5-6 keys to be focused into a weapon from the current pool, like you you can only focus the adept nightfall weapon of the week, would be a great addition to keep player retention in farming the drops they want.

yeah I'm all for this. Anything with absolutely diluted loot pools needs a focusing option

Good point, but I would like to add world drop focusing at Banshee. Getting the new world drops is almost impossible regarding the size of the loot pool, not to mention it to be a good roll. I spent about 67 Banshee engrams at the end of last season and only got about 5 or 6 duplicates. That's when I realized, how much stuff already is in his loot pool... Just crazy imo.

Would like world loot focusing…. Seen 2 glissando and 2 sterlings since they dropped, reset my gunsmith rank from breakdowns almost 4 times now.

1 ReplyYou get a guaranteed red border you don't already have the first time you get 250k every week. Yes, it starts with the least desirable and the BXR is the last thing you'll get, but you'll eventually get them. People who rush through the activity as quickly as possible instead of going 250k are only hurting themselves. You can easily get 250k if you go slow and kill adds instead of boss dps on the regular difficulty of you draw the Cabal on the final fight(always stand in that circle because the other two fights don't need the heavy ammo buff). You can also get 250k on any combination of fights if you get the bonus round. It probably took me 5-10 runs per week to luck across either a group focusing on adds or a group of really bad players. If they're really bad you have plenty of time to kill adds all by yourself.

2 RepliesIt is a free activity. I guess they want the focusing to be primarily for paid players. But like you mention, there needs to be focusing all around.

they aren't doing this because all seasonal weapons will be made available through returning exotic missions, and probably other sources. I assume these will all be respective to the season they were released in, or to match a theme for seasons that had no exotic mission

100% agree. A lot of the loot is outdated anyway, it’s not like it’s gonna break the game to let us focus a bit
