Fishing RNG is awful , tell your great experience here
Nearing 2000 fish! and no world specific exotic fish drop and barely any purples , started out fun but these lake's have dried up for me. Does this seem RIGHT? I enjoyed fishing at the beginning , when I got more than green and blues
My last exotic was one to start exotic quest on reset, so least I got that done .

It was ok until they nerfed it. now it's mostly greens with a few blues.

Meanwhile I'm still missing 3 18+kg fish for the seasonal challenge because even legendary fish on a perfect catch often land as low as 11kg (if not lower).

I’ve caught 947 fish. That includes 1 each of the exotics.

1 ReplyTook about 100 bait in total for all three special exotic fish. I caught the vex one in 2 casts thanks to loading into an area with maxed fishing bonus.

Well Bungie has to squeeze the patience of who’s finding hitting square every 20 sec “fun.” 2000 you said? I bet that comes on top of the other 3000 you must have fished before? Over 100,000 sec, so over 27 straight hours hitting square. I wish Bungie would disclose fishing stats. I’d be curious to see how many people really enjoyed fishing this season.

Fishing has been incredibly lucrative for me. It wasn’t in the beginning, but my rng changed a couple of weeks in. I’ve had so many golf balls from fishing at times that I’ve had a stack in my postmaster.

1 ReplyEdz is very uncooperative for a exotic fish. Took me 150 bait to get one. That was annoying as its the worst for public event interruption. Nessus and Throne World were quite reasonable.

Happy fishing![/quote] I thought it was just me!!! Before the “double exotic” fishing drop happened for the “fishing tournament” I was actually catching exotics more frequently. But now meh I spent 500 bait and had a perfect catch everytime to walk away with 27 legendary fish 2 nights ago.. needless to say Triumph or nah, it’s a wrap for this one

12 RepliesIt’s been phenomenal for me. It’s the very best exotic farm in the history of Destiny. I have countless high rolled (many 70) exotics that replaced poor rolls on all 3 of my classes. I don’t get the hate by some involving fishing. It’s not hard in any way.

Edited by Pilotslover: 7/16/2023 9:16:24 AMI got the exotic fish caught, there's no more reason for me to fish in D2. Instead, I'm going to fish in Nier Replicant. Equally as pointless to the overall game but at least the animations are funny and Weiss tells me off if I screw up.

It’s absolutely garbage, Legend of Zelda offers actual gameplay to their side fishing quest. You actually have to fight the fish on your line and can change lures. All we do here is tap one button. Truly pathetic…

It's just all around horrible. Here's my fix since focused fishing is as fake as datto. After the 2nd bar is full, there are no more greens. After the third bar, no more blues. So with 3 full bars nothing but purples and occasional exotics, say 1 of 20 are exotic. Once all bars are full, anywhere from 2 to 5 of 20 are exotics. Remember, we aren't farming for just exotics. We're farming for good rolls. So more need to drop period.
