So much negativity in this community. Figured I would start a positive convo...share your favorite Destiny memory. Mine was def my first Crota clear with my homies back in D1 that I still play with today. Made some good friends from that raid that has lasted years. Share yours.

D1 was the only great moments where Destiny provided actual FUN. D2 sucks, it’s steamer dominated now, Bungie’s favorite free advertisers .

My first normal difficulty VoG clear i got the fusion rifle preatorian foil. AKA the rarest D1 gun.

3 RepliesI used to share an account with my dad, so I got access to all the exotics he had. However, I really wanted to get my own. So I saved up for weeks and got a skeleton key, and then I ran Prison of Elders and opened the chest at the end. I got my first-ever on-my-own exotic: Universal Remote. Ah, the memories... Also, just running around on the moon with the insanely powerful Last Word was a big one for me.

2 RepliesDropping gjally finally, about 3 weeks before it was nerfed and sold by xur. I was the last one of my buddies to get it and I loved it for every single one of those precious days 😂 Also, taking a noob through a dungeon and teaching them how to do it: they're now in my clan and we're good mates. Cheesing atheon using icebreaker from up on the ridge. Finally, logging on day 1 beta and being blown away by the game...it's my most played and fave game. Awesome thread my man. You made me smile on a gorgeous sunny day so cheers 🍻🍻🍻

2 RepliesHaving G-horn drop at the end of my first ever nightfall. Lost my mind when that happened.

My first flawless in D1 trials. I remember me and my 2 friends would grind and grind all the way up until reset every weekend trying to go flawless. It took us like 4 weekends to finally get it, but it was the best feeling ever in D1. D2 doesn't even come close to comparing.

2 RepliesHonestly probably just D1 and D2 year 1 as that was the time when me and my brother played together. It was a lot of fun. D1 will always have a special place in my heart because of these memories

Mine is a recent one, clearing the new Raid for the first time and getting the new Raid exotic 👍
-
1 ReplyMy favorite moment was back in D1 when facing off with Atheon He had a slither of health left but he wiped out our team. We thought it was over until a self-res warlock came and 1v1 him

2 RepliesMine would be the first time I opened Destiny 1 and that iconic music played. I remember I was smiling ear to ear and filled with excitement. I still smile when I hear that music.
-
2 RepliesMy best is recently as well, with help of clan mates cleared my first gm this week and then cleared nf on master solo. My new adept Dutybound is my pride and joy 😁

1 Replymy favorite is discovering the dreaming city

1 ReplyPlaying since D1Y1 with my (then) young son was always a hoot; and finally getting Thorn - just before they nerfed it. 🤖 Cheers! MDGA 👈

3 RepliesD1- Finishing vog with guys i played racing games with, we didn’t know what to expect, we still play together to this day. D2- Beating last wish same dudes Infinite novas during reckoning

1 ReplyD1? Tricking Gatekeepers into walking off edges in Crota's End. D2? Divinity quest using LFG. We need more Raid exotic quests.
-
1 ReplyDoing raids drunk af with bros in D1. People starting taking this game too serious, and I haven’t had a good drunk raid in D2. People leave after the first mistake nowadays. Understandable though, it takes forever to do anything in this game sometimes.

1 ReplyMy first and best moments were back in Arrivals, I had a crappy box tv from the 90s and had to play on that thing the entire season. Cleared Prestige Spire, Sherpad a few groups through Leviathan, experienced Last Wish, it was all amazing. I remember times when I'd share with friends pics from my tv and they were for the longest time confused how I managed all that, especially with Leviathan and Last Wish where I would take every opportunity to do reading and call-out rolls. It was all an amazing experience especially with some of the people I met along the way going as far as joining a Sherpa discord as the 100th member. I have my gripes with this game most certainly, but then there's times when I see the reason I play this game so often happen right in front of me, like accidentally using Fist of Havoc instead of bubble during Riven DPS.

2 RepliesEdited by Jade Tigr3ss: 4/16/2022 6:08:24 AMDuring season of arrivals I got my solo prophecy clear wasnt flawless but I did something I never thought I could. My son was born at the end of season of the hunt so I did it before I had other priorities. It was very stressfull and the full clear took me 5 hours but I don't regret doing it.

1 ReplyThe opening mission...before Shaw. When I first got the game. Started my Hunter main and found out I could throw exploding knives. I was hooked.
-
1 ReplyDoing the new campaign with my homie was awesome. We had a lot of fun telling at each other and laughing at stuff. We’d make fun of the big moth lady and other things.

I must be nostalgic today. I am remembering D1 sparrow racing and winning. Someone mentioned Gally and for some reason I remember finally assembling that thing in D1. D2 was very cookie cutter so less memorable.
-
2 RepliesD1 was kinda a blur to me since I was a lot younger when it first came out. (Only a teenager) but I remember going to the dreadnaught and jumping high up on one of the walls and just spawn sniping these same cabal over and over again. Don’t know how I was entertained to do it hours on end but it’s an amazing memory. Also watching my Dad play the D1 beta and seeing him pop his first golden gun. As for D2 memories are being made. Playing hide in seek in the tower with hud off. Running dungeons, trials etc.. just having a good time.

1 ReplyMy favorite was completing VoG on hard difficulty at 29 light. Man that was actually a challenge. I got Vex Mythoclast on that run, back when it was 2-3 shot in crucible lol. Great times. Now here I am on I think 39 completions with no vex, I guess that’s my punishment 😂

2 RepliesI dunno but for me was being excited for a DLC's release. Staying home from class and work or waking up early to play the DLC's, was just the best feeling ever, literally was excited and smiling while playing the DLC's first released

There are a few great memories but I continue to love the sound people make when beating something for the first time or getting a raid exotic. I do a lot of endgame help and that makes it worth it every time.
