If so, halo universe wins hands down. The UNSC's ships have excellent counter fighter and ship to ship weaponry... Has a BIG F*** OFF GUN, that can puncture through the Hull of Covenant assault cruisers and devestate stuff in atmo. The last city has access to small fighter esc ships, some small transports and some frigates that aren't that big... Sure they have transmat but need a beacon to do it. They are VASTLY inferior force to the UNSC. Ground forces... Guardians can be revived, and that would be the issue. But, see the UNSC has access to something pretty useful. Its called a ship born AI aka cortana and other constructs, who could analyse the fight and immediately deduce that the ghosts are the thing to target. And that's when crap hits the fan... The last city has the drake tanks, sparrows, atmosphereic fighters AND guardians. What does the UNSC have to offer... Warthogs-transport, machine gun, gauss and missile varients. Scorpions. Wolverines. Cyclops. Elephant/mammoth depending on the era. Mongoose/gungoose. Hornets/hawks/sabres. Pelicans-both regular beautiful ones and tanky attack ones. Mantis walkers... Called freckles. Marines, HOORAH my man sgt Johnson. ODSTs. Spartans. And many others. So who would win in space combat... The UNSC by far. So would win in a ground setting? Guardians would get the upper hand at first, but once the ship born AIs analyse the situation... Oh dear. The guardians are going to destroyed faster than the pillar of autumn. BUT see if the UNSC is suddenly transported to the destiny universe? There would be no fights, hell I'd say there would be a alliance between the UNSC and humanity. And the thought of Spartans obliterating hive beside guardians is making me happy. My profile image is the 1st game I ever personally owned... I have played and owned every single halo game, and have them all on a shelf in order. I may or may not be biased. SGT JOHNSON. The man.

Saint-14 is awesome, but Master Chief wins it for me. Here are some examples of why: 1. He’s literally like 8 ft tall and built like a friccin beast. 2. The entire Covenant fears him not because of light abilities or some superpower, but just because he’s so formidable and ruthless. 3. (This one seals the entire contest.) Master Chief has a freaking hot holographic AI in his helmet. Does Saint-14 have that? No. No he does not. [spoiler]O Reader Mine[/spoiler]

The real question is, where in the destiny universe does master chief get guardianized and we go recruit the old covenant to help us fight the darkness?

Master Chief and the Spartans didnt just push the aliens back...they went to their homeworld...put a deuce deuce in the brain of their precious forerunner gods..while stiff arming the zombie plant apocalypse so hard it joined our side. Master chief would have uploaded cortana to the traveler, understood the science of light, obtained it, then disabled the traveler before walking up to saint and throwing a flood spawn at his jugular...... then the arbiter, the pinnacle warrior of a warrior class of aliens that master chief freed from his psionic oppressors, would de-cloak with his sword halfway through saints fat russian gut. Sorry, knowing a dreg can kick our -blam!-, that is one of the weakest enemies there is that we've run into. Those that are using Light when it comes to speed, strength, etc? it doesn't mean jack. Besides that, Sant-14's arrogance will get in his way. MC all the way 👍

Story wise. I like Master Chief more. Even though his Mjolnir armor looks rather generic (paintball face mask and green armor) I think he’s pretty cool. And I was probably only of the very few that really dig his platonic relational with Cortana and get sad when she died. (And pissed at the writers for turning her evil). Saint is alright. He has some good dialog here and there, particularly with his broken English combined with his thick accent. And he showed some character growth when Mithrax pointed out “hey buddy you were killing unarmed women and children… not cool” and the titan was gobsmacked by the revelation. - If it’s who will win in a fight? Hmmmmm tough call. MC has defied the odds incredibly and some armor powerups might put him at least CLOSE to Saints abilities. Physically, MC has incredible biology…. And the suit gives him insane strength and speed. But he lacks light. I’ll take the easy way out. The answer is the winner would be “whoever the writer decides should win” since these things often come down to the mood of the writer and how they interpret the power limits.
